Rental house in a quiet country setting-1.5 miles from Coon Valley, WI. 2 Bedrooms with queen beds, loft with tv area and queen murphy bed, Fully furnished kitchen, 2 full baths, linens provided, AC, Cable, Wireless, Washer/Dryer, Gas Grill on deck, Towels/Washcloths provided, Vacuum cleaner, magazines, books, games, flat screen television, three porches for relaxing, private backyard/fire pit, hiking trails available on property.

A very quiet, relaxing setting. Close to world class trout fishing streams, bicycling trails, road cycling, snowmobiling, and cross country ski trails.

New for 2015* I have remodeled an additional bedroom Suite on the basement level of the Villa. This has a Queen bed, bathroom/shower, couch, kitchenette area with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. T.V., wireless, and private patio area. This rents for an additional $100.00 per night. Pricing listed here does not include this suite. This suite is only rented to the regular Villa occupants for more space.

Super Holiday Stay near Family

January stay

Clean home with very comfortable beds. Very quiet surroundings and the host had plenty of kitchenware. Would of been best if the coffee maker worked, better water pressure and cookie sheet for baking bacon in the morning. Otherwise we loved our stay.

Perfect for visiting family

Great space, great area, and so thankful this was pet friendly. The park down the road had a walking path that was perfect for our dogs to get out and exercise. Definitely hoping we will be welcomed back!

Great scenic getaway

This a well maintain home to stay in. The grounds are beautiful that includes a nice fire pit. There are many areas to hike or just sit back on the great porch and watch the deer come in at dusk. The deer came within 15 yards of the porch while we sat watching them. We had a nice picnic by the small waterfall that is near the house.

Great property!

This villa was perfect for our family of five while we were in the area for Christmas. The property was very clean, and the views of the surrounding bluffs were beautiful. The only minor issue was the toilets made a high pitched sound after flushing, but this was not a huge issue for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home set in hilly and wooded surroundings with a stream just outside the house. We discovered two waterfalls, but our outdoor activities were limited due to the time of year. Would love to go back in spring to enjoy the foliage and outdoor activities. The house was well stocked not only with necessities, but lots of unexpected extras. Thank you, Pete, for a great stay!

Great setting

The house was clean, comfortable and quiet. The Villa sits on a very quiet dead-end road in a valley surrounded by bluffs with streams running down two sides of it. We enjoyed grilling on the porch after long days exploring all that the area has to offer. Despite being so quiet, it’s close to town for supplies. We had an excellent time and the Villa was a big part of that.

Family fun

Love the villa. It was perfect for the bunch of us from Illinois. We planned the stay for a Family Reunion in LaCrosse. Once we arrived it was a perfect place for our reunion and Pete( property owner) agree to let us have it there instead! We had a great time with the family and are planning to do it next year too.

Wedding

My daughter got married at Norskedalen Nature and Heritage Center. We needed a place to stay close to the venue. The Villa was very impressive, relaxing and homey. The kitchen was nice and the bed on the main floor was extremely comfortable. We hosted the rehearsal dinner so needed a big place.with large kitchen. We did not use the microwave since previous review mentioned the smell. Our only negative which is small, check out instructions said to put all garbage in can on porch which was too small to hold all of our trash. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Just Ok

We have stayed at several VRBOs and AirB&B type places. We wanted to really like this place, and overall location, cleanliness, space, and communication were all fine. While recognizing this location is more in the country it was a little more run down- walls were scratched up, water pressure low, and the biggest concern was the number of flies and beetles infested in the house, primarily all over the windows in one of the bedrooms (to where we closed off the room and ended up not using it) and common areas. There were several wasps on the patio by a nest and several rodent traps along the house outside, which we had to watch given we had a dog with us. The place could be lovely, but the sealing of the windows need to probably be addressed.

We truly enjoyed our stay @ the Villa! We woke up to see 3 deer frolicking in front of the villa. Pete recommended the Sunrise Orchard for apples. The orchard is a must see destination for autumn & less than an hour drive from the Villa. The Villa was clean & tidy. It was nice sitting on the deck watching the sunset!

The area was great as we went to Octoberfest in La Crosse. It was only a 10 mile drive out of town. Pete was a great host. Being the weather was warm for this time of year the bugs, Asian beetles, were a slight problem inside. May need to spray the perimeter. The house had plenty of space and necessities.

Beautiful property with lots of wildlife. Great bird watching. Extremely quiet and relaxing. We got to spend time just sitting on the porch, watching the birds and the deer. The only drawback there was and no fault of the owners of the property is that the bridge was out so we had to go around about 10 more minutes to get to the home. All in all, it was a great time to spend with family and enjoying the many sports and activities in the area.

Kitchen was setup great, lots of useful equipment (except a cork screw :)). Pet area was great. Loved the gates on the deck so we could sit out there and let her be with us and not worry about her wandering off. Only complaint would be water pressure. Shower was weak and I started to take a hot bath upstairs but it would have taken forever to fill that tub. House was very comfortable and in a great setting. Too bad for the construction but what are you going to do!

Beautiful stay

The house and property were a perfect combination of relaxing and beauty. We walked the trails, our dog enjoyed the open field and our group had a marvelous stay. If you want to enjoy peace and quiet away from the city this property is great. It does need some outside sprucing up and some deep cleaning however, it did not affect our stay.

Loved our Stay!

Great location for any season to explore the coulee region! We stayed in Feb 2021, so did some winter hiking, and exploring of neighboring small communities. This home was very well kept, clean, cozy, and a great location. Thank you for a great stay!
