"We had a very relaxing stay and loved the gardens and surrounding area. The house is lovely - the bedroom separated from the house is very hot and was a little dirty but that’s partly because of the bear stone. Communication was very good leading up to the stay - a couple of minor delays with responses when at the property but overall good. We would definitely go back "

"The photos do not do this property justice. Its a lovely large secluded house in the middle of sunflower fields. The owners live next door and were on hand for anything we might need, but we didn't see or hear them unless we needed to. They were the perfect hosts. It was a great location for our extended family getaway. The pool was perfect and provided good shade for the children. There is a sandpit and a wooden lookout that are not pictured, but were a lovely surprise. The house was spotlessly...

"Fantastic time to be had by all in this lovely setting. More than enough room for everyone and the facilities were spot on. Location was wonderful, just near enough to a local bar for a quick sundowner before heading back for a pool side evening. "Good rental and position. We parked in front of the house ( and not to the right hand side as instructed) but even just backing out the car was a tricky business. It would perhaps be helpful for future guests if there was a fence or rope to restrict access. The neighbours were helpful in pushing our car!"

Mais par contre pour l' intérieur très fouilli, trop encombrée de vieilles choses, la cuisine trop petite et non fonctionnelle, l' électricité pas trop au normes pour des locations, mal entretenue, nid de poussières et d'acariens, les personnes allergiques s'obstenir !!!! Malgré tout ça les propriétaires très accueillants."

We LOVE this place!!!

"This is our second time staying here while driving from Netherlands to San Sebastian. The first time was so great we did it again and this time was even better. The staff is 10/10 amazing. Very patient with my bad French even thought they spoke English perfectly. Claire even spoke a good amount of Dutch. She checked us in and helped us with the menu and was overall a sparkling ray of sunshine. The dinner and drinks were great. This is a classic motel. Clean, hot shower, comfy bed, fabulous staff, close to the highway. It is older but not in a bad way. It has character and is just a great place!"

"The apartment complex is built with an ancient convent, which is very cool when you first enter. The hallways are clean and quiet, and our room really was spotless, as well as quite large. Even though our room was tight over a busy street, there was virtually no noise coming from the outside. The kitchen was very useful and we enjoyed some time sitting on the deck in the rear of the property. If you want to walk to the shops and restaurants, you will be walking straight up a very steep hill. The old part of city is at the top of a steep hill. We drove and eventually found parking. Good for the price. Staff were very nice!"

"Returned to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary just for one night. Although rooms are quite basic in decoration, the chateau is incredible and the dinner was exceptional. We loved it and will definitely return again. "
