70s theme, pet-friendly, home!

Two Hearthstones House is located on the south side of Yellowwood State Forest. The 5.7-mile Scarce O'Fat Loop Hiking Trail takes you through the heart of the forest.

Explore the trails in the beautiful Yellowwood Forest at your own pace. Just 25 miles away, Lake Monroe is an excellent spot for catching some rays.

Relax in front of the large brick fireplace. You can also play games at the dining table, the kitchen bar, or the breakfast nook. With its open concept, this mid-century home makes it easy for everyone to participate.

Rural Environment Notice
Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.

These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!

PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

All gas fireplaces are seasonal and available for use from October 1 to April 1.

PRICE STRUCTURE: Two Hearthstones is a multi-split-level home. The price structure is the rate for two people, with a master bedroom and bathroom on its split floor (all other bedrooms will remain locked). For three to four guests, we will unlock bedroom two and a bathroom on the upper split floor. Bedroom two contains another sleeping area with a trundle bed, separated by a curtain. For five or more guests, we will unlock bedroom three on the lowest level with a fireplace. A futon is located on the upper level in the loft.

POOL: Open May 19–September 12.

ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeepers' tax from 5% to 8%.

Extremely fun and close to Nashville/Bloomington

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, everything about the place was great and it was a good time overall. I highly recommend this home for groups.

IU Family Trip

This property was great for both my elderly parents and teenage boys. Great location, not far from Bloomington or Nashville. The outdoor space was wonderful and the kitchen coffee bar was fantastic!

Great for a large group

We stayed 2 nights for a bachelor weekend with 8 guests. There was so much space that we were all able to have our own space to play games, hang out in the hot tub, or just chill. The cabin is beautiful and so clean. I would love to stay again.

Great location, perfect property!

This house was perfect for my family. It has everything you need, tons of space, the game room is awesome and kept the kids busy. The pool was perfect for the almost 100 degree days. The beds were very comfortable as well. We had a great time and loved the welcome gift they left for our family!

Great Stay!

The house is amazing and we LOVED the decor. Amazing layout and the hot tub was a great way to relax after getting a wedding ready and being in a wedding all day. We were able to relax after a very long day while playing some games and sharing some wine. Will defiantly consider renting this out again!

Woodsy and quiet retreat with close access to downtown shopping and restaurants.

We had a blast. From hot tubbing & campfires to game nights in the game room, we bonded as a family at this beautiful place. Our beds were comfy and we loved the beverage closet! Lovely place to kick back and make memories with our family. We were about 15 minutes from a huge lake and downtown Nashvilles shops and restaurants.

Enjoyable getaway

Our short stay at 2 Hearthstones was enjoyable. We put the pool, hot tub, and game room to good use. Peaceful location surrounded by trees. The 70’s-inspired decor was fun with lots of unique details. The well-stocked kitchen was appreciated as we cooked every meal at the house.

Easter weekend getaway

The property is the perfect distance away from Nashville, Bloomington, and the many natural attractions the area has to offer. It is on a hill and surrounded by trees, so neither the highway nor any neighbors feel close. We enjoyed the hot tub, game room, 70s vibe, and all the details throughout the house that made our stay enjoyable.

Great for Family

The house is spacious and well laid out. The photos accurately let you know what you will encounter. There is a lot of entertainment within the house itself. The beds are comfortable. This was a perfect family gathering spot. Close to Bloomington and close to Brown County state park which makes for a lot of fun.

Girls Weekend

Location was great to downtown Nashville, IN. Privacy of backyard with large deck and pool and hot tub made for good use of our time. House was laid out nice for a group of friends. Overall pricing was misleading and communication/attitude with property manager was sub-par.

Perfect getaway!

This is a perfect spot if you want to relax and enjoy your day! It’s 15 minutes away from Nashville, where there is an abundance of shops and restaurants. The property is quiet and slightly tucked away. We had an awesome time swimming in the pool and using the hot tub the house was incredibly well organized, and everything Was labeled, making it super easy to find everything in the house! On top of that, I forgot my shampoo and conditioner, but didn’t need to worry because there was some provided. Make sure you check out this cute house!

We'll be back again!!!

This place is gorgeous, and has enough here to make a getaway all by itself. With a pool, hot tub, game room, lots of TVs and fast internet we found a lot to entertain ourselves. There's also a lot for those who like to cook, but if not Nashville is only about 15 minutes away. It was quiet and private while being convenient. There are some *extremely* minor nitpicks, but it's clear they have done a lot of updating to an already interesting house!

Wonderful property

Seven of us spent four nights here. Visited Nashville (IN), Brown County State Park, and went golfing and miniature golfing in Bloomington. Had a "pool tournament" in the game room one evening. Took a bit of a drive and went down to Holiday World in Santa Claus for a day. The hot tub and pool were wonderful to have each evening whether we were in the heat all day or coming back from a rainy day. The beverage bar is stocked well for morning coffees and afternoon tea. Would recommend.

Family Thanksgiving 2023

From start to finish this house and management are amazing! House is clean and inviting. Truly is fully stocked with whatever you need. Easy to use instructions for everything. Clear ,concise expectations for how to check out. Cleanest hot tub in Brown county! I had no qualms about using it. It was relaxing! The game room needs a little TLC but overall great. Our daughter brought her golden retriever with her and he loved the doggie station in the coffee bar. So many thoughtful touches! The s'mores kit to the supplies allover the house, we were impressed! Felt like home. We will be back. Highly recommend ❤️

WONDERFUL!!

This place had it all! Every amenity that you could think of was there! Bathroom necessities, kitchen utensils, plates, cups, pots pans, etc. A fully stocked coffee/tea room. Had K-cups, creamer, several different tea bags. Towels and slippers for the hot tub. A welcome package with everything to make smores. Wood for the fire pit. coupons for local businesses. The decor was amazing! Comfortable beds, great linens. WOW, the list goes on and on. Only complaint I have is that i wish I could have stayed longer!! I usually try to rent different places when coming to this area (which we do twice a year) and this will be one that i definitely return! The location is PERFECT! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY DAUGHTERS 18TH BIRTHDAY INCREDIBLE!

Absolutely lovely! We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. The game room was a hIt for our group so fun! The hot tub and beautiful decor of all rooms and fire pit under the stars, very entertaining. We loved the extra touch of the pet station as we had or dogs. The pool was closed, the only sad part, other than leaving but it is October, although very hot out, nice a cool inside. The host's thought of everything. Such a great space for family and fun. We highly recommend this rental and enjoy!

70s theme, layout and decor were nicely curated. Large kitchen- easy to find things and space to move around. Game room was fun. Pool and hot tub were well-maintained and nice. Only downside was age of the home.

Unique Place in the woods

This stay was a very unique layout with to s of charm and amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and the kids loved it! Peaceful and yet lots to do not far away!

Great stay at Two Hearthstones!

Property was very nice; some renovations going on but we were able to spread out and each have a private area to get some space. The pool was clean and nice and so was the hot tub! Upstairs was a bit hot, but the fans provided do help. Beds are comfortable. Lots of nice amenities included like a fully stocked kitchen. Game room was a fun addition, I wish we’d used it more! A unique property in a quiet and safe area.
