Deplu : la liste des interdictions avec les amendes associees . Il y a des prises internationales partout sauf la ou le client en a besoin à la table de nuit!! Choix au petit dejeuner tres restreint pour un hotel de ce standing. Beaucoup de charme tant au niveau de la chambre que des parties communes.

Nothing in the Barrio Historico is more than around 3 blocks away from this well-maintained and serviced place. And staying overnight in Colonia is a different experience that visiting as part of a day trip from Montevideo or BA. Staying two (or more) nights lets you experience the daytime life and the quiet, relaxing evening. Don’t get bored, get relaxed. As for the Posada Plaza Mayor, it is walking distance from the ferry and bus terminals but, dragging a suitcase over the cobblestone streets and some gravel may not be the highlight of your trip; a taxi was 150-200 Uruguayan pesos. Most of the rooms are off a shaded interior courtyard, which adds to the feeling of being in a different time. Staff is friendly and helpful. I traveled alone and stayed 3 nights in Room 4, which was comfortable for me but would probably be a squeeze for two. Other rooms I able to see inside while housekeeping was at work, unlike 4, have enough room for a chair; I had just the window seat. With that caveat, I recommend staying at Posada Plaza Mayor, not just visiting Colonia del Sacramento for a day.

Lovely hotel, clean room, perfect location
This hotel is the perfect little spot. Service was fantastic. value was great. Breakfast was perfect and they were able to provide eggs for me as well as gluten free options. The bikes they provided needed some TLC but it was nice of them to offer. They also helped us hire a cab to get us back to the ferry vs walking. Very nice of them.

Very unique hotel. It has an inner yard and a backyard with the river view. Close distance to all the restaurants and touristy sites.

Lovely small hotel with pleasant helpful staff. Breakfast is very basic (no eggs) and the amenities are substandard ($3 charge for bottled water and nespresso capsule)

Wundervolle historische Posada
Absolut stilvoll renoviert. Zimmer (Superior) sehr eng. Mitten in der kleinen Altstadt. Für das Abendessen arbeitet das Hotel mit einem Restaurant am Rio de la Plata zusammen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Gebäude ist alt, bei geschlossenem Fenster roch es im Zimmer feucht. Der Frühstücksraum ist ein Highlight, das Frühstück selbst leider nicht.

Estadia ótima, mas café da manhã deixou a desejar
A pousada é fantástica! Linda, charmosa, limpeza impecável, cama confortável, banheiro moderno, atendimento da recepção excelente! E ainda oferece bicicletas gratuitas para os hóspedes. A única coisa que foi decepcionante foi o café da manhã. Percebemos a decepção de outros hóspedes também. O ovo foi servido cozido inteiro, com casca e frio. Nenhuma variedade de pães, bolos e tortas. Um único cereal (tipo sucrilhos sem acúcar) e poucas frutas e ainda com casca. Uma sugestão é melhorar (muito) o café da manhã ou deixá-lo opcional, cobrando menos para os que optarem a tomá-lo em outro lugar.

Perfect weekend stay during Summer weekend
What an amazing treasure to be able to stay in a 17th century building restoration. The staff were great and very knowledgeable in their recommendations. We ate lunch and dinner at Charco. Remember to use your 10% discount and a credit card for your 18% discount from the Uruguayan government.

Loved the ambiance and location of the hotel! It was a very cool place. The only negative things were that there was no counter space in the bathroom, and no plugs (that we could locate) for charging. Anyway, we loved the stone walls etc!

The property and location is fine. At the upper end of the market compared to other hotels around the area, but we wanted excellent. Our stay was nice, although breakfast bare minimum and disappointing. After checking out and going to the ferry we received a call that we had used one of the single-use coffee pods in our room. Uh. Yeah? We must replace it or they will charge us. There’s a charge for the single-use coffee pods IN THE ROOM? Pretty awful way to treat customers. In-room coffee is a thing, not a for-fee adder.

Posada plaza Mayor is a beautiful place in a beautiful town. The amenities included a comfortable bed a luxurious towels. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

Wonderful staff - could not have been more helpful. Arranged for taxi to pick us up at the ferry. Made restaurant reservations. Location is perfect for exploring the historic district and close to many nice restaurants. They have bikes to lend, but we didn’t use them. Our room was small, very pretty - but dark. As with many of these small boutique hotels, the electrical system could be more convenient. Need USB and more outlets easily accessible.
