Upon arrival the door was locked. We had communication problems with the person checking us in. We appreciated that she did use Google translate to deal with it.

Very nice place. Separate rooms not room in one apartment. Many rooms with your own show and toilets. Quite not crowded.Clean,closed,5-15 min walking distance from everywhere.Nice people. Highly recommend. Dmitry

Excellent accomodation
Good for a one night stay. It's perfect for what I needed. Spacious, clean and there is a TV. Close to a bar as well. And a quick walk to the main street with all the restaurants and tourists things. Also close to Coimbra -B, the train station I used to get in and out of Coimbra. About 20min walk.

Renovación necesaria
El personal es amable, la ubicación no está mal, a unos 10-15min del centro. Pero al hotel en sí le vendría genial una renovación de arriba a abajo. Habitaciones pequeñas, baños de los 80. Enchufes limitados. Sin aire acondicionado. Se escucha todo. Cama ruidosa.

DON'T STAY HERE
DON'T STAY HERE. On one side of my room was constant traffic from a main road. On the other side were doors opening and closing loudly, people walking up and down the corridor and talking loudly. Then (this is the best bit) somebody decided to do the washing up loudly at 1am. This countinued for around 45 minutes, after which they moved furniture around on the floor above me for 15 minutes!

Simple room near points of interest
The hostel is in a good location within walking distance of several points of interest. The room was tiny with limited electrical outlets. Given the low price, this was a good option for a place to sleep.

Not 2 Star
This is not a 2 star hotel. It's a one star. It's in a great location, central but the condition of the room was very poor except that it was clean. Examples, we had a problem with the door lock to open the door to get out of the room. The doors dont fit well the door frames. The only light that worked in the bathroom was over the wash basin. There was only one electric socket in the room and it was in a bad place at the bottom of one of the beds. The window was broken so the street noise and cold air are coming in all the time at night. The walls are thin. I had to listen, with my 17 year old son to a couple next door having sex 3 times one night. If you want cheap and a place to put your head at night it's fine but it's not a family hotel. There was no one there to pay at early morning checkout and I ended up having to do a bank transfer afterwards. Hotels.com give the option to pay at the hotel but that wasn't possible.

Lençóis ruins que se soltam deixando você diretamente sobre o colchão. Instalações desgastadas, necessita de uma reforma.

Fixador do chuveiro quebrado, tendo que ficar segurando o chuveiro durante o banho.Depois de alguns minutos de chuveiro aberto a agua esfria, intercalando entre quente e fria.

Brief visit to Coimbra
The guesthouse is simple and comfortable, with well organized systems and very accommodating management. Location is great, with excellent restaurants nearby and easy access to the university and other places of interest.
