We love staying at Kristen’s place every time we come to town. So clean and well-appointed, fabulous location, excellent communication. Can’t wait for our next trip!
We had an amazing stay in Kristen's cottage house. We loved being within walking distance of coffee, shopping, and some of our favorite restaurants. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable for our family of four. We'll be back for sure!
This was a great place to stay for my wife’s procedure. It is very close to the main hospital, clean, and comfortable. The host was very responsive and accommodating.
A very good experience.
CWRU parents here for a visit. Finally a Cleveland vrbo i will absolutely return to! The host was so wonderful. The little house is a perfect layout. Our daughter ended up sleeping over to get a break from the dorms and for some homemade food. Great walking neighborhood and close enough to walk to the university. Very quiet and comfortable.
Great neighborhood with restaurants and sidewalks for dog walking. Just a short trip to CWRU to visit our son. Communication was great and we look forward to returning. Thanks, Kristin!

Carriage house stay
2nd time we have stayed there …the house was not as clean as it was 6 months ago on our first trip. Overall good experience
Our family of four - with two adult boys stayed for three nights in this great property. We loved the location that was a short walk from little Italy and nearby the case western reserve campus. The kitchen had high end appliances and it was great to have two bathrooms and a washer dryer as we stayed during college move in. The privacy and easy check in are ideal. In a perfect world there would be at least one king bed but that is just me being picky. We will stay here again for sure!
My husband, doggie and I stayed two nights in this nicely renovated townhouse in the heart of historic Harrisburg. The place was clean and had all the amenities you could want, including a well-stocked kitchen and very comfy bed.
We also liked the fact that it was within easy walking distance of many good restaurants and bars. Plus the riverfront is only a couple of short blocks away if you're looking for a relaxing evening stroll.
We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Harrisburg. Thank you so much for everything, Tanner, including the early check-in!
We stayed with our two pre teen grandchildren. Carriage house was comfortable and well equipped. Loved the location. Could walk to breakfast and coffee shops 9 minutes one way and dinner in little Italy the other direction (20 min) . Fifteen minutes from Cleveland by car. Liked the off street parking. Owners responsive to communication and questions
. Beautiful rooms and perfect for the weekend!
The Carriage House was a perfect home base while we supported our daughter through surgery at The Cleveland Clinic. Easy drive to the hospital, easy walk to restaurants before and during recovery, clean, and a lovely neighborhood for walking our dog. It meant so much to be able to bring our dog to be there for our daughter when she got out.
Thanks Kristen. We appreciated your hospitality and responsiveness to questions.
Warm regards,
Terri
We (2 adults + 1 teen) were in Cleveland for a brief visit and college tour. This lovely carriage house was a convenient and cozy home base for our University Circle adventures. We appreciated the location which was within walking distance of cafés, a bookstore and cocktail lounge. Furnishings were elegant and comfortable. When we had a question about hot water during our visit, Kristen's response was immediate and attentive. Communication throughout booking and stay was welcoming and professional. We'll definitely be back!
This is a small, meticulously cared-for carriage house behind a very large home, built in 1917, that is in the process of being brought back to its original splendor. The neighborhood is quiet, super-safe (I should know because I actually live just a mile away) and within a five-minute walk of a small, quaint shopping district. My son got married, so I rented this carriage house for my two brothers and a sister. They raved about how nice it was. If you want to be in the heart of Cleveland Heights or near University Circle, you couldn't do better than to stay at this carriage house.
We loved staying at Kristen’s Carriage House. Everything you could want was available. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Top of the line appliances. And to top it off our first night we were visited by a gorgeous buck lounging in the back yard. We also had a tour of the mansion that Kristen and her mom,Margo, are renovating. (The Carriage House is located behind the mansion- the Harry Payer Mansion). The proximity is perfect for going to Severance Hall, Playhouse Square, Cleveland Clinic and the Coventry section. Parking is off street and safe in a well lit driveway. Wonderful experience and we will be back!!
The Carriage House is a wonderful place to stay in Cleveland Heights! It has history and character on the outside, but it's all brand new on the inside. The Wolf stove is the highlight of the kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. The water pressure is good. The brick walkway that leads from the driveway to the carriage house in the back yard has heaved and tilted which could be an issue in wet or snowy weather, so it needs to be removed and replaced. The house is a cozy and welcoming space. The owner has worked very hard to provide a lovely renovated space for guests. This is a great place for families! 5 stars!
Our family was in Cleveland last weekend for our son's graduation. As expected, almost all hotels were already booked. However, we preferred to stay in a home with a kitchen to cater to our restricted diets. Kristen's Carriage House was the perfect choice since it was close to CWRU and also to our son's apartment. The Carriage House is behind the main house and the path is a bit run down and not easy to maneuver if you have strollers or need a wheelchair. But the house has been tastefully decorated with lovely Kathryn White paintings, matching rooster themed kitchenware and cosy bedrooms.
Kristen was kind enough to let us check out at noon because my son had a zoom class to attend. We really appreciate her flexibility and thank her for being such a good host.
We were in town for a weekend concert at Severance and stayed at this Carriage House. The Carriage House itself is very nice and its interior has been renovated. What did throw us off was the condition of the main house and the yard which are still in a significant state of disrepair. The lawn is overgrown with broken statues, walkways and collective clutter surrounding the exterior which you see from the carriage house.
We had no contact with the owner and it wasn't clear if they lived in the main house or not. This was a grand home in its day and I assume there are longer term plans to restore it but the current condition was a
distraction and, at some level not knowing the area, a concern that the neighborhood was not safe.
I'd suggest to the owner that they provide some welcome history of the overall property upon arrival to share a perspective on what it was (maybe even pictures) and what it hopes to be. Knowing this story would offer some life and positive energy to the property.
The location is great - a 10 minute walk to Little Italy and University Circle offering little cafes, coffee shops, and restaurants. Luna Bakery Cafe was a favorite.
AMAZING rental! Great location, beautifully decorated, wonderful host! It had everything we needed and everything was on one level with only 2 steps to enter! Thank yo Kristen; you have a beautiful property!
