We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Clare Valley, made even more special by the warm welcome and pleasant stay we had at Brice Hill. The ebikes were heaps of fun and we enjoyed some great food and wines in the area. Thanks also for the beautiful Shiraz and the amazing responsiveness of the hosts Chris and Mark It was amazing.
Had 2 nights at this amazing property which ticks all the boxes for style and comfort. Right on the Riesling Trail to access vineyards along the trail and an easy walk into Clare township
Cute accomodations with an excellent view of the valley.
Cycle hire right next door with a discount was a nice surprise.
Very friendly hosts who provided breakfast foods on arrival.
Highly recommend.
A great location right next to the Riesling trail and a few minutes drive from Clare's main drag. The apartments are well maintained and spacious, and the bathroom in the Tim Knappstein Suite is huge, but very cold in winter. The kitchen is adequate but without a real oven and cooking trays, real cooking is somewhat restrained. The microwave oven does cook with convection , but it is complicated. I prefer a bit more space when I cook, but to be fair, most people wouldn't bother apart from preparing breakfast. The grounds are very pleasant, with a pool area that would be appreciated during the summer period.
We received a warm and friendly welcome from the host. The suite was lovely, so well equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast supplies were generous and of high quality.
The pool and gardens beautiful.
We hired e-bikes from the host and were more than pleased with the service we received.
Great location close to town and wineries. Rooms were very clean, well appointed and the grounds beautiful. Owners communicated regularly with us and provided a very nice breakfast platter with bacon, eggs, fresh bread and milk, cereals and condiments. We were also welcomed with a complimentary bottle of local reisling and chocolates. Overall, it was a very relaxing and pkeasant stay and we would highly recommend. If we come back to the Clare Valley again we will definitely stay at Brice Hill. 👍 Thanks Chris & Mick 😊
Such a beautiful property and the photos of the rooms don’t do it justice! Everything is just perfect and it is in a great location to a heap of wineries, bakeries, the Reisling trail & the town centre. We were offered an early check in which is always great when travelling & the owners had thought of everything from firewood, wine and chocolates on arrival and a delicious breakfast for the length of our stay.
Brice Hill Country Lodge is an exclusive stay in the Clare Valley. It's definitely unique in that one feels alone at the property. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the BBQ area allows one to have intimate dinners, after the bustle of the wineries. Well done Brice Hill!
The only thing that could make the stay better would be King Beds and perhaps not as hard.
Luxurious accommodation, quiet peaceful atmosphere. Lovely hosts. We recommend hiring bikes from the host for the Riesling Trail. Will definitely be back as 3 days was not long enough.
The place is nice and great location. We found most parts of our stay quite enjoyable but thought there were a few things that could be improved upon. The beds probably need an update. They are not the most comfortable. Things like the bins need to be taken out daily, tea, coffee and milk supply should of been replenished daily and asking if needing fresh towels. Some of the cereal offered was out of date and stale. So a bit more careand attention needed to be given to guests. Other than that the staff were very friendly and happy to help with any enquirers
We have stayed here many times. Its comfortable and the outdoor undercover kitchen area by the pool is great for a barby. The garden is absolutely stunning. In summer the pool is great and in the winter the fireplace is cozy. It's great fun when you have 4 couples and therefore have the whole place to yourself.
Very well presented, with quality breakfast fixings through to toiletries. Bed was quite firm and could do with a topper. Otherwise excellent. Attention to detail immaculate and exceeded expectations
Wonderful location, right off the Riesling Trail and easy walk into town of Clare. Very comfortable accommodation, with nice touches, like candles around the spa bath and a bottle of wine to greet us. Mick was very helpful with advice. We could even rent our bikes on site, which is absolutely the way to tour wineries up here, especially in glorious autumnal sunshine and colourful leaves!
Great location and facilities. Pool and spa combo was very nice. Also a late check out was very useful for a relaxed last day.
Having to wash up dishes before leaving is something I am not keen on.
no wifi and no cable TV
We had a lovely 2 night stay to celebrate a significant anniversary, and thoroughly enjoyed our suite. It was well-designed, luxuriously appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need and the breakfast provisions were generous. The complimentary bottle of wine was also a nice touch.
Spent 3 days in a cold and windy Clare and the cottage was a welcoming warmth to come home to. We stayed in the end Seven Hills Suite with its open fire and huge spa bath in the bathroom. The breakfast essentials that were supplied by our hosts Mick & Chris would feed for a week an army and the lovely bottle of Seven Hills Riesling went down superbly. Definitely would recommend Brice Hill for couples as a base to explore this wonderful region.
