The Carriage House Loft at Marion Hall Mansion
This open floor plan loft is on the first floor of an 1897 Carriage House. 1k sf, 12` ceilings, exposed brick and other beautiful elements. Fully equipped new kitchen with MASSIVE island, new bathroom, beautiful modern furnishings and a dedicated work space. This was once the stables of the carriage house of Frank Enger. Mr. Enger’s family manufactured carriages in the 1800s. When Frank took over, he eventually began putting motors in the carriages and ultimately founded the Enger Motor Company.
You`ll find the kitchen is the perfect place to cook, or simply hang out over a glass of wine, and for making everyone coffee in the morning while you relax. You`re more than welcome to enjoy the entire grounds, with various sitting areas located throughout the property. This space is the perfect option for travelling professionals, nurses, doctors, or simply couples or small families looking for a getaway.
We tried to strike a perfect balance between the original character of the property and designing in features to make the home really enjoyable day-to-day.
Our guests will enjoy a private loft in the carriage house stables of our historic home. The 1.8 acre, fully gated property boosts lush gardens, secluded landscape, and various sitting areas around the grounds to enjoy.
Our family lives in the main house at Marion Hall Mansion and are available for anything you might need during your stay

The carriage house was a perfect place for us to stay while visiting our daughter at UC! The location was great, the site was beautiful and communication was excellent. It was also super dog-friendly, which we greatly appreciated.
We so enjoyed our stay at Marion Hall Mansion during our time in Cincinnati. We cuouldnt have found a more comfortable space or perfect location. This space was lovely, hosts were wonderful host, easy to get around the city, friendly pups, and more. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Spacious, meticulously clean, fresh, and well stocked. Beautifully styled and comfortable too. Matt was incredibly helpful, responsive, and friendly. We were so happy to have found this darling and unique retreat away from campus during a recent college visit. Bonus points for chickens on site and pet friendly vibes!!
Beautiful room that was clean and safe in a fantastic location. The Manor grounds were lovely and the hosts were great at communicating with us about everything. 10/10, would stay again. -/
My son and I were in town for a concert in Cincinnati and there is so much to love about the carriage house loft! The gardens are beautiful and the beds are super comfortable! It’s such a hidden gem!
The place was clean, well equipped for cooking, and in a great location! It was easy to get anywhere in the greater Cincinnati area and a safe neighborhood. We had an issue with the smoke alarm while cooking, and Matt came to take care of it quickly. Would definitely stay here again!
This place is gorgeous and was perfect for my elderly parents that couldn’t do steps! The grounds were gorgeous. Matt was incredibly patient with my parents and took care of their electronic needs. Would recommend this place!
Very easy to get to Xavier, the neighbor hood is lovely. The residents are kind and welcoming the owners are very accomidationg. We will be booking again in the near future.
We had a fabulous stay at the property! This was our annual “hideaway” from responsibility trip. The space was beautiful and clean and had all the amenities. We will consider using this space again next year. Thanks for hosting us!
The grounds were beautiful. The place was super homie and comfortable. Matt was super helpful and communication was great. The neighborhood was quiet and it was a perfect stay for us while we were getting testing done at the childrens hospital. We will be booking again!
This was our second time staying at this property. Wonderful and relaxing space to get away from the city. Full kitchen amenities, comfortable bed and open airy spaces. We are looking forward to our next stay. Thank-you!
The carriage house was an interesting and super comfortable place to stay with our two dogs. The bed is especially comfy- we have been in dog-friendly Air B&B’s for the past 6 weeks, so I say this with lots of comparison sleeps! The neighborhood is interesting and the grounds are beautiful- we felt lucky to be guests there!
Our stay was everything we could have dreamed of. The unit was dreamy, clean, and well stocked with essentials. The managers were extremely attentive and sweet! Absolutely would not stay anywhere else!!
Pictures don’t do it justice, adorable and so many books super clean love the way it’s decorated and a historical neighborhood with a huge houses. The property is beautiful. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone we were only 15 minutes away from everything we wanted to do. We went to hard rock casino and we went to Montgomery Inn restaurant. Had a wonderful time.!!! A beautiful place! Bed was super comfortable also! Had everything we needed tons of towels, wonderful plates everything was stocked well dishes, and everything you needed.
We stayed at this lovely property to see a Xavier basketball game. We, and our dog, had a great visit with our student and a very comfortable stay. It was so convenient to walk our dog around the property as well as being located so close to all activities. We will stay again.
This is a wonderful place to stay. It is in a classic neighborhood full of late 19th and early 20th Century estates. The rental is quiet and secluded within a large landscaped property behind the main house. The carriage house rental needs a little attention to make it stellar. none-the-less we recommend the Carriage House
Property was beautiful! Very clean. Traveled alone, but felt very safe coming and going after dark. Unit was well stocked and very quiet. I would recommend to any single or couple traveling to Cincinnati. Will definitely book again!
The property , grounds of the estate , and neighborhood were beyond excellent.
Parking right at the door.
Central to all there is to see and do in Cincinnati
I biked and jogged right in the neighborhood and on the college campus.
Central to great restaurants nearby
I highly recommend it!!
We stayed 4/22/24 - 4/26/24 Perfect weather !

There are beautiful gardens around the Carriage House, and a resident flock of assorted chicken breeds entertain you as you stroll around the garden or sit at the garden table. Convenient to the Cincinnati Interstates, downtown, stadia, museums, Univ of Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Zoo. 30 min to Northern KY airport (CVG). Most of all within moderate walking distance of Xavier University, just down the hill. Mansion and Carriage House set up requires going through mansion carport, and on to an ample parking area. Inside the the unit is a great room, with bed partitioned off, not walled off. Big open space with living area, business desk, kitchen with island, appliances, breakfast table, comfortable chairs to watch TV via streaming. The best part is just experiencing the renovation of the Carriage House with horse stalls (and hay loft?) made into living units - this one being one of 3-4 created. Ceiling and floor treatment with the renovation is quite the feat and the walls are made to look like antique brick with paint in some areas and exposed brick elsewhere. Electric and other utility connections required exposed conduit giving the historic structure an appealing industrial / agricultural look. Electric heat and effective wall A/C unit, despite our warm humid week at the property. Bring a book light for reading if you require more intense light than the high overhead lighting. Close to Kroger, Meijer, Busken Bakery, Listermann Brewing and Graeter's Ice Cream.
We enjoyed staying here. Safe, clean, and beautiful. The hosts were very quick to help us when we accidentally tripped a breaker while using a couple radiators. I would absolutely stay here again.
