The cottage itself was immaculate and stocked with everything we could possibly need (even down to citronella candles and makeup wipes!) which made our stay super comfortable and convenient. The attention to detail in maintaining and preparing the cottage was evident, and it truly felt like a home away...

However, pictures showed a jetted tub, larger suite, and rear facing patio (which we later learned were for the larger suite next door also owned by the owners who were fabulous.) I would suggest separating the two property pictures to avoid future confusion. "

"We spent 3 relaxing nights at this cozy cottage. It had everything we needed just to disconnect for a few days. Comfortable beds and pillows, a fire pit, Muskoka chairs on the dock, 2 kayaks, pet friendly. Alona is a super host, very easy to reach. The only issue was we were not able to use the washing machine cause it needs a special detergent and we didn't feel like driving to get a bottle just for one load. We’d like to come back this Summer."

"A hidden gem of the Kawarthas! Brett was an amazing host, very communicative with timely responses. There were many basic amenities in case you forget. Place was clean/tidy, and had lots to do! We enjoyed our stay. The hosts definitely put alot of thought into everything to accommodate you. Would recommend to couples or families, very cozy. Thank you for the great stay."

"The property is modern and well maintained. The Napoleon BBQ grill was brand new. The kitchen had everything you’d need. We used the Kayaks - there’s also kiddie ones as well as outdoor toys for the kids. We brought our golden retrievers who spent all day in the lake. One tip, bring drinking water. Thanks Vivian for being an awesome host."
