Initially the refrigerator and plugs did not work, although they were fixed by later in the day. I had to change plans for a meal based on that. But the lack of power to two plugs was a bigger problem for timing of charging my equipment.

This hotel was very nice. Easy valet parking,($50). Close to salt shed. Breakfast was good. Nice rooftop bar, it was raining when we were there so it was closed. But would return and check it out.

Only complaint would be that we booked through Expedia who showed paid in full on the app but then upon arrival the property told me we were unpaid and that Expedia even with requesting to pay at booking online not at hotel, did not process the payment supposedly which meant the hotel wanted a cc again. I tried to quickly check my statement at the counter but will need to follow up for sure because the hotel would not give us our rooms without payment then. Not Hyatt’s fault however there was a bit of contention on both parties and I was told I should have booked with the hotel direct to avoid the issue…seems to be happening more and more with Expedia. Maybe the era is over. The property was great, clean and overall easy to use. We parked valley overnight which was $50 which is the norm in the city. Easily able to retrieve our car when needed. The quick trip over night did not leave us time to explore the area but was a quick 8 mins or so Uber to Concord for our concert.

Hi Joseph,I understand the frustration dealing with 3rd party bookings. There are several different reservation types through different channels, and it can be confusing. This reservation type just happened to be pay at the hotel, there are others where you pay the third party directly, but the hotel will still ask for a credit card for incidentals upon check in. I am glad that your overall stay was an enjoyable one and hope the next time you come you have more time to explore the city.All the Best,

I had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place at Wicker Park! It was very walkable to The Salt Shed. My friend and I felt very safe in the area and the staff was AMAZING!! Super friendly and helpful!

We were really impressed with the quality of stay at the Wicker Park Hyatt! Great clean facilities, comfortable beds, and convenient valet parking. You really cannot beat the price either. We’re looking forward to staying there again one day.

Would definitely come back!
This was our first time coming to this hotel and I can honestly say we would definitely come back I absolutely loved the outdoor rooftop bar experience it was soo pretty seeing the city lights and buildings meanwhile we were having our drinks and food. Our server was so lovely and she was very attentive with us! The bathroom was clean I just noticed that the sink and corners of the showers really needed to be cleaned since it looks like buildup grime other than that I absolutely enjoyed our little hotel room it was in good condition and the bed was soo comfortable you are in your own space. I enjoyed having a safe in our hotel room so you can put all your precious items in the safe when you leave the hotel room. The lighting in the hotel room makes you feel really relaxed. I must say they do charge you an extra $50 for valet parking and it is only a one time payment when you check in. You can come in/out as many times as you please!

Hotel was very clean - they clean the room every other night, which is way more often than appears to now be standard. All the staff that we interacted with were kind and friendly. Breakfast was great, much better than other complimentary breakfast bars I’ve had. Thanks Hyatt, I would pick you again!
