NIGHTMARE in Chicago - Avoid This VRBO at ALL COSTS!
91 with NO AC, ROACHES, and a GHOSTING HOST!This VRBO was an absolute DISAsTER from start to finish. We walked into a 91-degree sauna (yes, you read that right) with broken AC, and the place wasn’t even ready at check-in. Oh, and did I mention the ROACHES? Because nothing says vacation like sharing your space with uninvited six-legged guests. The host stopped answering calls and instead sent bizarre texts pretending I was still there even though he knew I’d left! Then came the unjust charges: He tried to slap me with a night’s stay cleaning fee after I’d barely been inside for an hour. Thankfully, VRBO support stepped in and will get me a full refund, but no one should have to fight this hard for basic decency. Don’t bother asking if he fixed the issues. I did, & he LIED.
