One of the nicest properties we have stayed in during our stay in Thailand- great rooms and facilities- lovely pool and good gym too! Excellent location and staff are 1st class. Loved the fridge in reception with water, fruit and other snacks - when we let they have us a bag of delicious rice cakes. Fantastic hotel

This was our favorite hotel in our 4 weeks in Thailand. The breakfast was amazing - the best we’ve had in Thailand. The staff was super kind and helpful. It was all super clean. Easy to walk to the main part of Chiang Rai or get a ride to the attractions around it. Highly recommend!

Fabulous, Excelent service, Great breakfast, wonderful and helpful staff. Tours and taxi services they offer are less than what you find online. Tucked away in the heart of Chiang Rai is this hotel gem, Nak Nakara. This unique hotel has a blend of local old style architecture with all the conveniences of a modern hotel. Beautiful on the outside and very comfortable on the inside. The staff; what an exceptional group, taking care of all your needs from the minute you get there until the minute you leave. The breakfast; a large variety of dishes available you won't be disappointed.

After our original hotel was closed due to flooding, we chose Nak Nakara and it was a lovely stay here, the room was basic but was quiet & comfortable with good aircon & a short walk to the pool. The breakfast was nice as was the dining area. The pool was clean with nice seating & a small bar area. The endless complimentary chilled fruit and water was so nice. And plenty of parking for scooter

Nice staff, nice pool and very good breakfast

Nak Nakara is a very nice hotel, reasonably priced and has a great pool (though we were there during rainy season and only got to enjoy it for a couple of brief spells). The breakfast buffet was terrific, with a separate "egg station" that prepared omelettes, other types of eggs, and pancakes and waffles. (My only wish would have been to add mushrooms to the omelette choices, but the omelettes were done nicely.) A very friendly staff, and though our booking was originally for one night, we decided we liked the place well enough to add a second night, which I booked at the front desk and even got a bit of a discount (equal to about 400 baht) off what the first night cost. We come to Chiang Rai often enough that we'd definitely consider staying at Nak Nakara again.

Great little hotel with nice pluses, like free bikes and minibar items (not alcohol) and always cold water for your rides around town. Nicely located. Very tasty breakfast with choices of coffee. Very attentive staff. Unfortunately the rooms were a bit dated but still clean and comfy.

This was a wonderful stay at Nak Nakara. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and my stay was very comfortable. Located about 10 minutes walk to many shops and food options, the hotel is nestled in a quiet enclave within Chiang Rai. My only disappointment was that I didn't get to stay here for longer, but if I come back to Chiang Rai, I will certainly come back for a stay here again.

Loves: the staff was SO helpful always, they were always available to help with anything, the fridge in the reception area which always had fresh melon and bottled water at no cost 24/7, the pool was open until 10pm (most places are 8pm latest), very quiet at night Misses: the bathroom was quite small, the side of the toilet was so close to the wall that my thigh was always leaning against it, not much counter space in there either for two people, the bed and pillows weren't super comfy and the room could use some updating.

The hotel is 10-15 minutes away from the major bus depo. I showed up early and the staff allowed me check in early without any issue. The mini bar was free of charge. The only complaint is the bathroom shower could use a renovation.
