We were fortunate to be upgraded to the deluxe "cabins" at the top of the property but were also very pleased with the rafting trip and staff at the center. The restaurant at the river was very good and a great convenience as we dined there all three nights of our stay. The prices there were very reasonable for dinner. The train trip offered at Bryson City was excellent and about a 20 minute drive to reach.

This experience was absolutely delightful. True southern hospitality. Everything was exactly as advertised. Comfortable, quiet and no complaints.

Enjoyed the weekend but so many spiders in the cabin. Yes it’s in the mountains but you would have hoped that huge webs would have been cleaned out of the shower before we arrived. We did not shower. Moved nightstand to plug-in phone charger again huge cobwebs. Cabin with surface cleaned, but definitely has not had a deep cleaning in a while. Sink water was brown could not use it had to use bottled water all weekend Was not a pleasant experience…. On those things. My brother and his wife will be staying in one of the cabins in two weeks hoping they have a better experience.

We stayed in a Hemlock Bungalow. It was superb. The bungalow was perfect for a weekend getaway. It was clean, and quiet. The amenities of the NOC were great as well. The staff that we interacted with were professional and extremely helpful. Overall my wife and I were very satisfied with our stay. The only negative I have was the shower fan didn't vent well and the shower design gets the bathroom floor very wet. Regardless, I recommend a visit.

We loved the cabin! Roomy, clean and well equipped for all 16 of us. We stayed in the "Chestnut" cabin. It was great, quality family time for all of us and we look forward to visiting again when we have more time.

It took us over an hour to find and when we did we had to walk on uneven Tiranë to get to it. Great bed and room. No coffee cup.

Loved our family tome

We really enjoyed our stay, the location was great and the cabin was comfortable, however the carpet in the bedrooms is pretty dated and stained. And the floor in the kitchen was sticky. All in all we enjoyed our stay and realize the difficulty of maintenance with multiple guest, so a different floor type could be considered besides carpet.

Hemlock #1 was amazing! The only problems were that it was very hard to figure out how to get to in the dark. Parking was an issue for us since I have mobility problems. You have to park above or below the unit and walk to it. That would have been good to know when trying to find it in the dark.

The cabin was very dirty. There were bugs in the window sill and all over the floor. The gutters were full of dirty and weeds. I was disappointed how the cabin looked for the price I was charged.

The cabin is an apartment. Like 10 guest to a cabin. Had a hard time parking because of all the construction lumber piled up in the parking lot. Also no electrical outlets in the bathroom. ☹️

There was an issue with the front door not working with the key card…it worked on our room but had to walk down a steep trail to get to side door to get in the building., couldn't get heat & air to work…bathroom had a weird odor..only one uncomfortable chair in the room..was nice to be by the river and restaurant on the ground was good..bed was decently comfortable and room was clean

This place is fairly new, it has more than what expected (dishes, soap, detergent, trash bags, refrigerator, microwave, paper towels, kitchen rags, dish washer and even a small stove. It is a modern small house in the woods. :) I loved the location because it is close to all the outdoors activities available and its walking distance from the Nantahala river. It is very quite and secured and worth the money we paid. Unfortunately, I had to lower to 4 Stars because there was no communication from any host or staff, we had to call to check in and find the way to access the facility because no one communicated to us what was the process, we had to wash the towels because we didnt know where to get more, I suggest to management to please add some type of shelf or hooks in the bathroom, The shower doesn't have any reliable hooks or spaces to hold scrubs, shampoo bottles or soap, and also the bathroom sinks have very small counters, leaving us with not much space to place miscellaneous. In the positive side this place was spotless EXTREMELY clean, and that was what stood out the most! Overall the place offers what we wanted, a peaceful and convenient stay. I already told my friends to check it out. :)

At first the communication with the company was great very easy payment. When walking into the cabin it smelled terrible like something died in there. It also was so many fruit flies and stink bugs everywhere most alive some dead. Me and my family went to the closest store to get bug spray and candles. As the next day came I tried calling them no one answered the calls so therefore horrible cabin.

Don't Stay at the Dogwood "Hostel"

Don't stay at the Dogwood if you value your sleep. There is no "on-site" management or front desk, it is more of a HOSTEL. It is a single cabin with hotel style battery operated locks on residential grade interior bedroom doors. The water from the faucets was brown but did get hot for a shower. Walls are paper thin and floors creak with every movement. Bottom floors (Room 1-6) are unbearable due to the noise from guests above. You must rely on other guests to have common courtesy, no posted quiet hours. My particular stay the guests above were unbearable with creating noise all night and all morning to where I could not sleep. I am a avid hiker and unless I had been out on the trail for weeks and need a place to dry out or warm up, I would be better off in my tent. During my recent hike the temp were dropping to 10 degrees at night so there was little choice but to stay indoors. If you are passing thru and need a Hotel/Motel for the night or looking for a romantic getaway, DONT STAY HERE!

This is a cozy bungalow just as pictured. It was very clean. We had a little difficulty finding it due to the GPS. The host provided some helpful directions though. There was a bit of a delay in getting the check-in details and door code. Other than that minor hiccup, I would recommend this property.
