The house was very clean and kept up with nicely! We enjoyed having our own space! It was beautiful in the mountains, but not far from the attractions we wanted to explore!
This house has such a beautiful view of the mountains and the city. We saw an incredible fireworks show on NYE! It’s very convenient to all the tourist attractions as well.
Beautiful Deck -Felt like you are in the Mountains
Lovely home with an incredible decking with Fire Pit, Lighting, and dining area. Very close to downtown Chattanooga restaurants and night life! Great place to relax and host was very friendly and accommodating. 👍
We had a great stay at this home. We stayed in winter, so the views of the mountains from the back deck were beautiful. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and the grill area. The house felt quite spacious and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. The host was responsive to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to stay there again in the future.
Just stayed one night while pass through. It was very clean, love the simple decor. It had a faint smell of an old house. Other than that it's a really cute place.
Everything for a great stay! Felt like the nature setting we wanted. Fire Pit was so relaxing every night and morning. Comply beds, tv, wonderful sitting areas. Perfect! We plan to go again.
The property was as described. Great outdoor space to hang out and watch the squirrels. We had an issue with the AC but the host quickly returned our call and got it taken care of.
This is a great place to stay!
The property was beautiful! It was very clean, very comfortable, and I loved the peacefulness of the home. Very relaxing. The host was easy to contact and accommodating! It was close to all the places we wanted to visit and exactly what we wanted!
We enjoyed our stay and loved how close we were to everything! The gas fire pit was a huge plus and we enjoyed our evenings by it! There was a slight cigarette smell when we arrived but with some open windows and dinner cooking it dissipated so it could’ve been from previous guest. The kitchen does not supply measuring utensils or a huge variation of glasses so you may want to bring your own. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the host was very helpful and responsive!

Denny was available any time we needed for him to be. He is an excellent communicator. The back deck offers an amazing view of the western sky. and city. It is so peaceful abd quiet at niight
Great view. We only stayed overnight, so didn’t get a chance to explore. This house is in a neighborhood, so if you’re looking for someplace out of the way, this wouldn’t be for you.
Clean just pay attention to your email before arrival.... if you dont you will be lost on where to park

It was ok for the price
The house was fine, just a few small complaints, the neighborhood was pretty sketchy. There was no futon. The owner didn’t answer a couple of my questions. The positives were the house was clean, and had all of the be
The house was wonderful. It had everything we needed and was clean. We did notice a cigarette smell when the air would kick on. The house was easy to find but finding the entrance to the driveway was tricky. We never got a check-in email so we were without instructions on how to find the correct driveway. Luckily, we were able to figure it out. The drive to the house was a little sketchy. I did feel safer once we started up the hill. Denny was a wonderful host and answered all of our questions.
We chose this property for the views and outdoor space. Sunsets were so beautiful over the mountains. Over all would recommend this property. Things we noticed during our stay that we recommend host adds. All 3 smoke detectors and fire extinguisher were missing from the property. We recommend laundry detergent so we could wash the towels as we stayed 3 nights. We found white dog hair on the couch. The dishes were not the most clean. But for the price we were satisfied.

Ok stay
We rented this place for my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) and my parents. It was advertised as 2 queen beds and a double futon. There was no futon in the house. My kids had to sleep on a sectional with no extra bedding to be found in the house. I reached out to the owner, who stays in the basement, the next morning, but never got a response. It is a 1.5 bath, not 2, as there is only a shower/tub combo. The mattresses are very hard, which we did not love, but know some people could. We killed several big black ants during our stay as well.

Cute if you have low expectations
Let me start by saying the location is perfect! Everything was within a 10-15 minute drive which was very convenient.
But, the directions weren’t clear and we arrived at night so locating the entrance was challenging. Several bugs, dead and alive, and the listing is deceiving because it says 2 bathrooms but it’s really 1 1/2 because the one bathroom in the bedroom didn’t have a tub or shower. Also, lots or dirty dishes were in the cupboard. Looks like they may have been run through the dishwater but no one looked at them. I re-washed EVERYTHING we used.
Plenty towels, tissue, and paper towels. Overall, it worked but based on the price I was expecting more, and the stairs were a beast.
House- it was older but nice and decorated beautifully. The view was amazing and the place was super quiet. It did have an older smell in the sunroom but it's not overwhelming in the rest of the house. The sunroom did have stink bugs so I couldn't sit in there. For the most part, the stink bugs stayed in the sunroom. Only two wondered outside into the kitchen. Host- He seemed nice and was responsive.Cleanliness- Wasn't good.I had to clean the toilets, sinks, tub, microwave, and a portion of the fridge in order to use any of these places. I'm not happy about that at all since my purpose for traveling was to relieve my injuried body of all forms of work for a few days. There was seemed like dog & human kinds of hair and other forms of debris EVERYWHERE! And it was very dusty. The host offered to send the cleaner back to clean but it was the day after I had arrived and would have been on my only full day at the property. In addition to the fact that I had already cleaned in order to use these places. Overall, it would not have been a bad place to stay if it was actually professionally & skillfully cleaned.
Very lovely. I was initially concerned about access to the home due to prior reviews, but the owner provided instructions in the email and the front drive ((which is very steep)) was roped off to assist with driver confusion. Just make sure to read your email in full, pass by the front of the home, follow the winding road down the mountain, and turn left at the stop sign (I believe 38th?). To be clear, this place is not handicap accessible & anyone who has a hard time with steep flights of stairs should avoid. The black steep staircase at the rear of the home leds to the guest area. Owner, Dennis, lives below. The driveway is a tad tricky but not impossible and Dennis was onsight ready to assist with any questions we had. The rental itself is lovely and as described. I saw other reviews discussing ants but my husband and I did not see any insect issue inside of the home. It was clean and cozy. It was also located just around the corner from a fabulous little Italian restaurant called, Giardino's. The only reason I gave a 4/5 stars for the neighborhood would be the concern I had regarding some of the surrounding homes. Some are large mansions at the top of the hill but others aren't as maintained. A few had bars on doors and windows, and we noted 24 hour surveillance signs posted at residences (including this vrbo) too, which made us wonder about crime in the area. However, while we were there we had zero incidents & a wonderul stay! We would absolutely recommend to others.
We loved the mountain location and the gorgeous view. We didn’t see the specific driving directions provided by the host before we headed up…and definitely suggest you access your booking confirmation before arrival. A little turning around and we arrived. The deck with the firepit and seating is so welcoming. We saw the other review about steps leading up and it is no joke. They are steep and shallow. Our mom almost joined the trip last minute and it’s good she didn’t; with her mobility issues the stairs would be a no go and we would have been faced with a dilemma of finding a new place to stay. Denny was very welcoming and responded to all our questions timely. We happened to see him on arrival and he was very friendly and accommodating. The listing shows 2 queen beds and a double futon; but there are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and an “L” shaped couch in the main family room and a small couch in the sunroom (3 walls of windows-no shades) So fortunately we weren’t trying to sleep 6 adults…just 2 adults (sisters) and two kids who could share the couch or sleep with mom/auntie. We did notice a smell that a couple past guests noted in their reviews (May and Nov). It’s a little musty/mildew smell but improved with the doors and windows open for a bit. We also noticed a smoke/cigarette smell and couldn’t tell if maybe someone in the lower apartment smokes and the smell has wafted up. It was worse in closets and bathrooms. Well decorated and spacious. Cute place!
