About this property
Bragg's Retreat a Family Retreat on Missionary Ridge & Pup's Paradise
Bragg's Retreat was built in 2022. The house is one story and located on the frontline of the Confederate Army in the Battle at Missionary Ridge in 1863. It was Bragg's final command. There is an old cedar fence post in the back yard that symbolizes when there were cattle graze in years gone bye. This 1260 sq. ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath is convenient to downtown, tourist attractions, shopping, and dining. The backyard is fully fenced with the gate on the driveway, for all you dog lovers. (My insurance does not allow Pit bulls, Rottweilers, Chows, or Dobermans. They will not cover any mixed breeds with these in them.) The city of Chattanooga is experiencing rapid redevelopment, economic growth, and what some call "gentrification". This means that if you stay in the city, you are likely to be on a street with a wide variety of properties, ranging from very good condition, to fair, to vacant. In addition, there is great racial, cultural, and economic diversity with city residents. I live across the street and love it here, but it may not be for everyone. I want all guests to consider this prior to booking, so no unfavorable review result. The houses across the street from this rental need some love, but the tenants are great people and work and are good family folks. Please do not ask for a late check out. I respect that my cleaners have lives other than just cleaning my rentals. Feel free to stay another day. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time. Our stay was fantastic. The house was outstanding with visual appeal. Each bedroom has its own character. The owner has a great sense for color and decor. Everything was supplied by the owner, if not, there is a Super Walmart nearby. Location was awesome, just 10 minutes from downtown. We will stay here again. We highly recommend you stay here too! Enjoy!
Lovely 3 bedroom house with all the things you would need for your stay, except the food and your cook, LOL. Close downtown and different sites you would like to see.
This place had easy, close access to just about anywhere in the Chattanooga area. House was very modern, very neat and clean. All 4 of us enjoyed our stay and the accomodations.
Play pen provided was super helpful. Home is well stocked with anything you could need from utensils/condiments down to games for the family. The home is close to all of our planned activities (Zoo, Aquarium, Creative Discovery, Hamilton Place Mall), the furthest drive was 18 minutes. Check in was easy and earlier than most rentals which are later in the evening. Definitely recommend to others!
Wonderfully decorated, very cozy and near downtown as well as attractions like ruby falls. Owner thought of everything! She even had basics like salt & pepper, coffee, creamer and sugar! Home away from home!
Our stay was wonderful. The listing was exactly as specified. The house was decorated for the holiday which was great for us. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for preparing our meals. The location was convenient to anywhere we needed to go. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
We stayed here for a week while visiting Chattanooga. It was a great base camp to get to all the major attractions in the area like Ruby Falls, Rock City, Outlook mountain etc. it’s close to the highways and easy to get in and out of the town. The neighborhood felt safe to me and I didn’t have any reservations about letting my kids play outside.
We met our adult kids and grandson for a short family vacation. This property is adorable. Everything is so well done and Tammy had so many little extras that really added to the experience. Location is amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create memories with our family!
Loved the day bed on the front porch! Wrapped up in a blanket and enjoyed the mountain view! Beautiful home and cozy with everything you could need, including coffee and toys for the children. The chess board was a big hit! We relaxed catching up with our graduate and long overdue family photo's. It was perfect!
This house was very clean and welcoming, and just as VRBO listing indicating. We enjoyed the decor, and it was perfect for the three couples of friends. The location was very convenient for all we wanted to do in and around Chattanooga. We packed a lot in our long weekend. Would definitely recommend! Thanks!

Felt as if we was at home. So compatible, comfortable and everything for our convenience! Simple policies and requirements, understandable for an lovely home.
The house was very clean, well stocked (including some extras, and beautifully and creatively decorated, with many personal touches! Tammy absolutely takes a personal interest in making her property exceptional. The neighborhood was not quite what I expected, but we were comfortable and had everything we needed, plus some.
Our stay was just a short weekend trip, but loved the property and the city. The fenced in backyard was perfect for the children. The patio furniture was all comfortable and very clean. There were plenty of toys and board games inside to keep everyone entertained as well. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen had anything we could’ve needed. Some of the surrounded houses were in fairly bad condition; nothing the host can do about this and we felt perfectly safe the entire stay regardless. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and was sad to head home.
Even though the neighborhood seemed a bit down, we felt safe and noticed all the new upkeep to many of the homes. We sat outside on the front porch all the time and really enjoyed a relaxing time. Home was well done, clean and had supplies that we needed and used.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House was lovely. Very roomy. Very clean. Completely stocked with necessities. Very easy to get to all the attractions we went to see. Met owner who was wonderful. Highly recommend. Everyone should go to Little Coyotes to eat. Ask for Chris with the glasses.
This house was set up wonderfully. Several times we needed something, and immediately found that the owners had provided it already. Really great job anticipating a traveler’s needs!
The neighborhood (overall) is in transition, but always felt safe. Was only about 10 minutes to the incline railway, downtown, etc.
Checkout instructions were easy; had no problems with the house. Thanks, would stay again!
This is a wonderful restoration. As someone who loves restoring old buildings I enjoyed this house very much. There were 3 of us staying for a long weekend and we found it to be very comfortable and very clean. It has comfortable beds and every kitchen item you could need. It is convenient to downtown and the neighborhood felt friendly. Two of us are veterinarians, and we enjoyed meeting the neighbors sweet dogs, as well as the animal signage in the home. Check in was simple and checkout had minimal demands. I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Chattanooga.
We loved our stay at Bragg’s Ridge, it was just what we needed for our vacation! This newly built home is well stocked with everything that you would need!! The personal touches throughout really added to the home’s personality! Tammy came and introduced herself and was so kind and asked if we needed anything to let her know. The check-in process was very simple and we love that we didn’t have to keep up with a key throughout our stay! The home and yard was very well kept and clean! Make sure to say hey to Weezer (the neighborhood cat)
This is one of the nicest places we have stayed. Tammy is a perfect host. The house has everything we needed and the location was easy to get around. The lot at the corner with the playground and gardens is amazing. We enjoyed walking through there with our dog. The house is super clean. The decor is just right. I’m so glad we stayed here. We are from a busy metro area, so the location didn’t bother us at all. The neighbors were so kind. Our girls loved the front porch and the games.
All in all, highly recommend! We didn’t get to do everything we wanted to in Chattanooga, so we plan to be back.
Thank you, Tammy!
