"I was made to feel comfortable as soon as I arrived. My room was lovely with a sea view and balcony The garden was lovely food good To be honest I couldn't fault anything I will definitely be going back next year"

"Have had a lovely short break staying at hotel Staff were excellent and very helpful. Food both breakfast and evening meal was hot and even happy to cook us some poached eggs for breakfast which was appreciated. Bedroom was clean and tidy and enjoyed the air con in room. Hotel is tired and dated and could do with a refurb but happy to stay again which will do very soon. Thank you to all the hotel staff for making our stay enjoyable"

"An unfortunate start to our stay in a very mediocre "standard" double room. The TV did not work, despite a staff member trying to sort it-& was left to the next day as already early evening. This room was "tired" and small. The hotel is an old Victorian hotel, sprawling with work being done. (There was scaffold to be seen from the window & some "works" noise heard during working hours, but faint.) The lift was old, but worked fine and lighting worked on a sensor... not always quite light & the passage was often dim as no daylight. The communal carpets were old and visible dust accumulation along the edges and at corners to doorways. We asked if the TV was noted for fixing at reception the next morning, and this was confirmed. We sat in the dining room and waited for breakfast as I was told by a staff member that I did not need to book just come down and "we will sort you". A sparse continental breakfast buffet was on display and I helped myself to an apple and yoghurt. (I was pleased there was plain greek yoghurt- but the bowl was enough for one generous helping... maybe 2! There was 1 banana and some apples, red and green, pastry, bread and cereal. (None which we eat due to being diabetic.) We didn't wait to have the cooked choice. The coffee was good. On checking at midday about the TV, it was not fixed and we were upgraded to a seafront room. Large &great view, apart from the trek... which included a few short staircases. Asda on JustPark has cheap parking if you can walk"

"I stayed here when in Weymouth for my brother's funeral. The staff (bar and reception) can't think of your names but I'm sure you will know who you are if you read this, we're so kind and caring and nothing was too much trouble. Did find a random sock in my room but hey ho lol. I didn't have an evening meal but what I saw looked dam delicious. Breakfast, everything you could ask for just a shame I didn't have a big enough appetite. Thanks for looking after me ❤️"

Sandbanks Hotel

"Some areas showed their age . Staff where courteous and kind . Views are wonderful but the terrace needs tidying up. Breakfast was like a feast! 25 to 30 years ago we used to come regularly for several holidays a year. It's an old building and needs a brush up. They've tried to maximise money making on the terrace not all of which is easy on the eye . However despite criticism I'm already planning a return trip ."
