We had a total of 30 guests from 9 different countries all over the world, so to make it special, we created a week of wedding festivities rather than only one day! We had an activity day with all of the guests where we chartered a private bus to show us some of the great attractions and hidden gems of Chania. One of our stops was at Stavros Beach where Zorba the Greek was filmed! We had some traditional Greek mezethes (tapas or appetizers), which consisted of lots of #seafood ! I don't know about you, but I could stare at this plate all day long. Idyllic.

The location of this place is excellent. Just a short walk from a bay with a beach, beach bar and taverna, with other tavernas a very short drive away. Loads more bays to try within easy reach around Akrotiri. Service was excellent, breakfast fresh and delicious with good coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Rooms clean with big bathrooms and comfy beds. There is a nice deep pool, tennis and comfy sunbeds but don’t miss a swim or snorkel off the private dock.

Fantastic 3 star

The staff were absolutely fantastic towards us. We had a sick child with us all the way trough from the moment we arrived Tassos and Mimi were so welcomming and accomodating. It is such a beautiful quiet place perfect for familly holiday with swimming pool and beach close by. The food is a proper Greek portion, nicely cook and tasty. It actually reminds me of my grandparents village in cyprus.

Happy near Chania, Crete.

Very clean, bed linen changed after 7 nights. Plenty of towels- pool towels provided. Good buffet breakfast. Great pool, padded pool loungers. Near airport so overhead planes and Greek military jets. English spoken. Small team of very friendly , helpful staff. There were a few families staying whilst we were there ( beginning September). Lovely plants and shady trees surrounding apartments( sadly the plants adjacent to our particular ground floor apartment had died - faulty watering system I think). Plenty of parking spaces. 2 minute walk to small popular sandy local beach. One taverna 2 minute walk, otherwise short drive to several other tavernas. A couple of shops and fuel station 5 minutes drive away. 50 minute drive to Chania, 1 hour 50 to Rhethymno. We would very happily stay here again.

Absolutely loved our two nights here enroute from the Chania airport. The staff treated us like family and went above and beyond to give us a warm welcome. Our suite was comfortable and very very clean. The master bed and AC were wonderful. The grounds are stunning with views of the sea, a lovely pool, and restaurant and bar serving up delicious food. Loved the included breakfast as well. We travel often and would absolutely recommend staying here for value and experience!

cute place but the best part is the staff!

cute place with a great view. But the best part is the staff. super helpful and friendly! we arrived late with hungry kids. they wiped up an amazing salad and pizza in now time.

Les photos ne correspondent pas à la réalité. L’établissement n’est pas correctement entretenu (matériel ancien et détérioré, mobilier bas de gamme, draps de lits tachés, piscine non nettoyée, etc…). Les responsables ont déclaré qu’ils sont obligés de faire des photos montage pour attirer des clients. Le petit déjeuner est correct mais étrangement le chocolat chaud est en supplément alors que les ingrédients froids sont à disposition. C’est dommage car l’environnement est sympa.

Einzigartiger Ort abseits vom grossen Tourismus ! Sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage mit einer super Aussicht aufs Meer. Zimmer sehr geräumig mit Balkon, Sicht auf den Park mit Pool und das Meer! Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Service. Köstliches Frühstück und kleinere Menüs an der Poolbar.

We had our flight moved up by one day (found out a day before flying) so scrambled to find a place for one night not far from Chania Airport. Turned out to be a wonderful day at Alianthos for my family and I. We were greeted with warmth by the staff. We enjoyed tasty food, floating in the pool, happy hour and swimming off the hotels entry to the sea. What a fantastic stay. I wish we could have stayed longer but our reservation elsewhere was made. Thank you Alianthos for making our first day in Crete a magical one.

Mimi and Katarina were the most amazing hosts! I lost my phone on the way home from the airport and had no idea where it could be since it was dead and Mimi tracked down the taxi cab it was in within a couple of hours. She went above and beyond. Their customer service is unmatched and the place is BEAUTIFUL. Way above our expectations.

Amazing and warm hearted

I have stayed in this location for already three times and every time it was excellent. The service is wonderful, very friendly and helping wherever they can. I rarely have met such warm hearted people and I would recommend everyone to stay in this apartment hotel. You need a car to get arounf but the hotel is located next to the sea and only 25 minutes by car away from the center of Chania. There is even a bus which takes you around the island so a car is not necessary for everything. The breakfast is delicious, offering savory and sweet foods, fresh fruits and veggies. And even when you are hungry during the day, the lovely personel will prepare an excellent dish at the beach bar. Thank you all from Alianthos Suites; my mother and I had an amazing vacation.

The hotel is very close to the beach and has brilliant views across the bay from the hotel,the hotel is very clean but the reason why we would go back to the Alainthos Suites is the staff that work their from the gardener/handyman who always greets you with a smile and a hello and the ladies that clean the rooms always smiling and then their is Mimi and Tasos who are always their for you with their smiles and if you need anything they will help you We truly enjoyed our stay here

Amazing location next to the sea and the city of chania. A very calm hotel suits with nice scenary and very nice beach next to it. Only if the bar could stay for a longer time or mayb to have music till midnight. Mimi and katrina are amazing and super hosts ask them anything u need and they will help u with a smile.

MAGNIFIQUE

Très agréable séjour dans cet appartement propre et bien équipé au milieu d'un magnifique jardin, très bien entretenu. Une très belle petite crique à 150 mètre environ. La piscine est superbe avec beaucoup de transats. Le petit déjeuner est varié salé, sucré et un vrai jus d'orange. Et l'accueil est parfait Mimi et Katerina sont au petit soin avec les vacanciers. A réserver sans hésitation si vous souhaitez être au calme.

Paradise location

Alianthos Suites offer self catering accomodation with a few additional features which combine into something unique. I would say it easily beats more prestige looking and expensive places for guest experience. The accomodation bit is based on apartments most of them facing the see and nature. The inside is usable and clean - to my complete surprise this included daily cleaning and bedlinen changes. The location (Chourafakia) is not densely populated so walking down to the beach - 5 minutes - you will not see masses of tourists. Moreover you will hardly see tourists at the local beach as 9 out 10 on the beach is greek. The water is crystal clear, warm and full of fish so you may want to consider bringing your snorkeling equipment. As a byword you do not even have to go to the beach as the pool is magnificent catering for children and adults as well. In addition to this you can walk down from the pool to the Alianthos' own rocky beach within 1 minute. The breakfast is a good variety based on local produce. The taste of tomatoes and melons just reminded me of flavours from my childhood. Greek hospitality comes into its own in this place and based on my experience visiting Italy, France, Spain, Portugal this is the winner of all our mediterranean holidays.
