The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and our room was directly across from an active construction site with hammering and sawing noises coming through the walls all afternoon. We also had no exterior windows, only a window into the interior hallway / courtyard so we had to keep the blinds closed the whole time. It is very conveniently located for the airport but because of this you also hear planes landing overhead all night, so definitely pack ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. "

"Room was okay, the place is beautiful; Antigua is magical and the hotel is nice and beautiful everywhere you go. The issue is service needs work. I was asked to leave my ID for a lent umbrella, leaving me with no ID in case police stops me, I’m paying well over two hundred per night and they don’t trust me with my umbrella? Could ask me to leave my room key so I don’t forget the umbrella or even make me sign a “loose it and pay for it ticket” ; but requiring me leave my ID was a discomfort.
