Beautiful Winter Getaway!

We had so much fun here! This place is absolutely stunning and Dave and Ann are very accommodating. We will absolutely be returning and who knowwwwss…. Maybe we’ll bring 58 of our friends and get married there!

Great place to relax!!

This property was excellent all the amenities there make for a great getaway without having to go anywhere else. Just bring your food and drinks for a most enjoyable vacation with beautiful views and an amazing Host Destinie she is truly amazing and helpful any questions we had she was there to answer them there was nothing we needed they hadn’t already anticipated!! We will be returning soon.

Magnolia Overlook is Sweet!

We enjoyed a tremendously great time at Magnolia Overlook. Our four grandkids ages 3 to 8 loved the playground, trampoline, chess board, hot tub and video games. Beautifully restored 1870 historic home with updated everything made for a very comfortable stay. Totally clean. The view is excellent. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive, even advising about fishing and boating in the lake. We want to return to Magnolia Overlook and perhaps have a family reunion sometime.

A True Getaway

The guest suite was quite lovely and very clean. The suite came with LOTS of everything we needed (not like the other rental sites, lol). We selected this property for the views and the listed amenities. Once we landed at the suite, we did not leave. We woke to an awesome sunrise as we relaxed and enjoyed our visit. The managers were great and accommodating. We loved this place!!!

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our stay very much! The view of the water was beautiful! We also enjoyed the solitude of the area. I would like to know more about the history of the 1870’s house on the property. It is a gem! Dave and Ann, thank you for sharing your space with us!

Perfect spot to disconnect

We enjoyed our stay. Onsite, we biked the county road, kayaked in the lake, and roasted hot dogs in the fire pit. We also visited Desoto and Little River Canyon all and ate at the Wildflower (40 minutes away) all in a 3 day weekend. We look forward to returning when we can jump in the water too but November is a wonderful time for enjoying the beautiful colors of fall. Coffee is supplied but pack or pick up some food to have in the room because it is a bit of a trek to eat out and you definitely don't want to spend all of your time in the car when there's so many fun things to do!

Peace and beauty

It was a wonderful spot to just get away from all the chaos of 2020! We had a beautiful view, spacious lodging that was exactly as pictured and promised. Owners responded in minutes to any texts or questions we had. I could have stayed forever! All my friends were a little jealous of all the pictures I shared of the lake and the property!

We will be back

This place is a slice of heaven. My girlfriend and I who can be particular about cleanliness found this suit to be spotless. Amazing hosts, all the amenities you could ask for and secluded on the lake. All around a great trip that we intend to do again.

Extended Weekend

Fantastic stay!! Quiet, comfortable accommodations. Weather and brief stay kept us from doing some of the things we had planned, so we'll have to plan a future stay. Nice kitchen setup, comfortable bed, great view of lake.

Wonderful and Peaceful Escape

My husband and I took our annual “retreat” for ourselves here. It was amazing! The home is absolutely gorgeous. It has historic charm but is also tastefully updated to create a luxury atmosphere. The sunroom was our favorite place to sit and relax. The huge windows overlook the lake, and it makes for a great place to unwind. The owners also recommended some great restaurants and things to do. I definitely suggest staying here if you need some time to unplug and enjoy secluded relaxation. Thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay!

This place was perfect for our family! The property was stylish and well appointed!

A great place for our family of 4. A very stylish space the pictures don’t do it justice! The closed in porch is huge, and has two futons which were perfect for our kids to sleep on. Both bathrooms were extremely clean, and the showers were powerful and hot! I highly recommend booking this apartment, if looking to stay in the area!

Great place for a great weekend getaway!

Our visit took place in the fall and was perfect. The view of the lake is amazing during sunsets. We had a small issue with the TV and the caretaker/property manager was quick to respond. Will definitely stay here again!

Weekend getaway

Beautiful location if you are looking for a quite getaway. Everything was perfect. Internet is spotty but we were looking to disconnect so it was no big deal. I highly recommend this property.
