"The resort is in the middle of San Pedro Town, but feels like a private enclave with jungle like vegetation around the entrance and interior of the property. It is very well maintained and clean. The sargassum was bad while we were there. The poor maintenance guys were fighting a Sisyphean battle to keep the beach clean. The food at Pineapples is fine, but not noteworthy. I was there on a solo trip for three days, and it was just what I needed: clean, quiet, off the beaten path, but not too far that I ever felt unsafe. Woke up to a thunderstorm early in the morning, peeked out the front door, and I felt like I was in the jungle. 10/10 would stay again."
