"We stayed 2 nights in a normal double room. The hotel is very nicely decorated, in a great location and the staff are super friendly. The gym was also a nice touch for us and at the price we payed, we can’t complain.
My only mention would be the cleaning services. When we arrived there was previous guest towel still hung up and quite a lot of hair on the floor in the bathroom. The rain shower also needed cleaning."
"The room itself was clean with good AC and internet.
However!!!
This states it only 8 mins walk from railway station which is also true but this means you are literally on the wrong side of the railway track. All the cafes/ historic sites are in the other side of the railways track and you have to walk long quite a dodgy road and a few homeless people who sleep right outside the hotel continuously.
You can walk via the main road to the historic sites/ cafes via the main road but this actually takes you 25 mins not the 8 it advertises!
I would not stay here again due to the location and it was questionable as a solo traveller walking around here in the evening.
Please take my advice and stay in a different location as this was completely mis-sold!! "
"The hotel is small but absolutely charming. The reception sets the tone with it’s quirky decor that continues into the bedroom.
The bedroom was spacious with a very nice bathroom with twin sinks and a bath.
The bed was huge and very comfortable.
The aircon was cold and the room had plenty of plug sockets to cga"
"The hotel room was a bit dated, but it's value for money. The breakfast was a surprise. It served a variety of food and there were some changes every day. For housekeeping, you needed to ask the reception to arrange every day. When I checked in at the hotel, the hotel asked for our payment of RM3 city tax and RM10 tourist tax per room per night. Despite Expedia's confirmation email has written that Expedia would pay that tourist tax, the hotel insisted that we needed to pay both taxes unless we had the payment receipt."
"Room was clean but lacked plugins for the phone. Only one that was on the other end of the room. No kettle or Fridge. You can get a Thermos of hot water feom the front desk.
The owner, his wife and his staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nice restaurant at the end of the block.
You need walk a few blocks to get to the 7/11. Daily night market was about 10 min walk. I liked the location as it was close to the Trai and bus terminal
