Butterworth Cottage

Butterworth Cottage is beautiful, simple, sustainable and welcoming accommodation in a prime location. A private sanctuary in the nestled in corner of our expansive garden, it feels secluded and remote, yet lies less than 1 km stroll from the vibrant heart of Castlemaine.

Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family. The second room is the ‘Snug’ – with custom made narrow beds – one 1.8 and the other a 1.5m long - stacked on top of each other, providing a unique space for cubby building.

Guest access
Our pool is available for guest use between 9 am and 7pm in summer months.

For those arriving on foot or by bike, please note our property is perched atop a small but sharp hill, accessed via a 150-meter stretch of dirt road and a steep 30-meter driveway.

The walk to Butterworth Cottage from the carport is along a short path through the garden, which ensures your stay remains a secluded, private haven.

There are three stairs onto the veranda, so the cottage is not accessible by wheelchair.
