"Overall the room looked new, was clean, air conditioning worked well and was not too noisy. The room was missing a hair dryer and a box of tissues. When we came back to our room for the second night the towels had not been changed and the bed unmade. I questioned the desk clerk about this and he told me they don’t enter the room and haven’t since Covid. This seemed to me to be a poor excuse to save a little money. What bothers me is that they have been doing this to customers for five years He did say clean towels were available on request. After this, the cleaning staff showed up early morning with towels and put fresh linen on the bed. In my opinion this brought the overall rating down to a two where it could easily have been a four."

"We had a great stay at the Zen Den. This is a well built home with lots of open space and natural light. Massive porch with lovely mountain views! The Zen Den accommodated our family of five adults, two children and our dog comfortably. Close to amenities while also being a beautiful rural setting!"

"The room was clean enough, the hot water was either extremely hot or only warm ish. Our tub also did not plug. The staff wasn’t very cheery, and when we went to check out there wasn’t anyone there. Fine enough for a run of the mill hotel. Also the restaurant hours aren’t great, I wouldn’t plan to eat there"

"It's a very clean and nice place to stay with everything you need. They provide everything a hotel would and much more, a selection of spices and every dish you need to cook what you want, all the soaps for the appliances and shower and a full water dish waiting for our dogs. The fridge's freezer we didn't realize was turned off when got there but it has an ice dispenser that still worked fine so it wouldn't affect our short stay, when I mentioned it on the VRBO app the Host came by right away, pushed a few buttons (it's electronic) and it started working again. We watched a lightening storm from the hot tub and went on a hike we found in the hiking book they provided that had great info like if they allowed off leash dogs and difficulty levels and terrain info like if you needed a 4x4 to get there or it was paved. It does have open metal stair access with thoughtful pads added on the side for pet's feet, just be mindful of that for older dogs and people. Nice owners and would stay again."

"Our stay at the Chameleon Hotel was good. We were pretty wary when we pulled up because the outside looks extremely run down, but based on other reviews we decided to give it a try. Inside was good and our room was very clean and bright with large windows. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. We partly chose this place because it included breakfast but weren't able to eat breakfast there. There was boxes of cereal, blueberry muffins, yogurt and fruit cups available in the fridge. We did have some yogurt and fruit cups which were sealed, but didn't feel comfortable eating any of the unsealed items. The breakfast room was always open even when staff wasn't there. The idea of always having everything available is very kind but since it's not monitored it would be hard to know if anything is tampered with. We felt safe staying there but I would suggest extra security on the room doors with an extra latch since there's only the one turn lock door handle. Overall we enjoyed our stay and may stay again if it's cheaper than other places as it was this time."
