"This house is beautiful and immaculate and the owner had thought of everything for all ages from high chairs and travel cots to a shower seat in the walk-in shower. The location was ideal to so many places. The owner is lovely and was quick to resolve any issues. Unfortunately the house itself seems to be the only part of the property that has been renovated and what will be a lovely fairy garden, replete with waterfalls, was marred by construction rubbish. "we were travelling to Ireland to bring my brother’s ashes back to bury him, I spoke to the owner of this house on the day of travelling only to be told they do not advertise their property with Hotels.com we were left stranded and having to sort out accommodation last minute, the owner tried to help us as Bunclody is a very small town and not plentiful of accommodation. "As there isn’t on-site parking, we worried about where to put the car. No problem at all - directly across the small road and next to the hotel are parking places, and the hotel validates the parking (it is free to you, the guest). The room we stayed in was a good size, had a great bathroom and shower, and a comfortable bed. There were sufficient outlets to recharge phones, run a laptop, etc. The restaurant downstairs for dinner served a good variety of delicious food. The breakfast was in a different eating area and offered more good food. As it was our first time in Ireland (flying in that morning from the USA), we had a few questions and the staff were very helpful. If we head back to Wexford, we’d definitely be happy to stay there again."

"Stayed only one night but was incredible value. Very good location. Very well staffed, beautiful room with river view. Bar food was excellent. Pint of Guinness also perfect. Definitely will go back. Complementary gym and pool also ideal for families. Nearby National Heritage centre brilliant for all ages."

"Overall stay was good. Room was very clean and the staff were friendly. No early checkin was available, so I had to wait nearly 3 hours to get my room. Parking is terrible for this place. Basically, a dirt parking lot. Very difficult to find a spot. Also, paid about $30 dollars for the fish and chips. TERRIBLE. Peas were nearly cold and poor quality fish. Would not eat there again but I would stay there for location and cleanliness."

"This was such a welcome change from the hotels we’d been in nights before. Mary was an absolutely wonderful hostess. We picked up wine, cheese and bread before arriving and sat in the courtyard of the barn. Piper, the family cat, stayed close and enjoyed the ear scratches. We sat in the loft of the barn in the evening and enjoyed the cosy comfort and the wifi. We walked the trail around the property. A little forest bath before bed. The hut was comfortable….perfect really. Breakfast in the common area was perfect for us as well…homemade sourdough bread, farm fresh boiled eggs, lovely selection of healthy cereals, preserves, French press coffee and fresh fruit. Washrooms…..so well done. Large and well-equipped. This is really a unique and special place and you get to stay there for a very reasonable price."
