The room what freezing the heating didn't work the shower didn't work there was stains on the walls we where moved from the room at 10 at night with two young kids and put in a worse room with still no heating I paid well for this hotel and ended up with a heater in a horrible room so disappointed

The changing room in the pool area needs sorting out there are too many adults walking around naked when there's a lot of small children about which is unacceptable they need more cubicles

Great hotel for families with plenty of outside space for adventure and play.Garden bar, outdoor cafe ,mini golf, woodland walks, and play park all make for a very enjoyable stay.Pool and gym facilities as well.Various dining options available between the 2 hotels.Staff very friendly and attentive.

Great location for families. Our 2 kids aged 5 and 7 loved it. Great walks through the woods, lovely play area's and lovely pool for the kids.

Breakfast was good, dinner was very poor standard and overpriced. Receptionist on check in was anything but helpful and very uninterested. Pool receptionist on the other hand couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. TV not working was rectified after a phone call also some lights not working either didn't bother to report to the uninterested receptionist.

Lovely hotel

I vouildnt fault the hotel in anyway. However, why do guests feel is is appropriate to allow their children to run up and down corridors during the night. We did make a complaint to reception staff upon checkout. We realise this is no fault of the hotel, just inconsiderate people who can't keep control of their kids!! However, hotel was lovely. Large spaceous rooms, overlooking gardens. Perfect location if you do not want traffic noise. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was first class and all of the staff were extremely pleasant.

Great for family stay

Great for family stay. Lovely grounds. Loads for kids to do. Food was fabulous. Only downside was that there was no air conditioning

Very disappointing

Very disappointing stay. The Hotel bar was old fashioned and the choice of food wasn't great. I had an issue with my room which I asked to speak to the manager about. My complaint was dismissed by the manager. I will not stay here again nor would I recommend it. Too expensive for what you get. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful however.

Family hotel good if you have more than 2 kids as rooms accommodate 2 adults and 3 kids. Basic but lovely to get a swim at last

Breaffy Woods Hotel

We stayed at the Breaffy Woods Hotel. Our room for a family of four was a good size, bigger than any other family rooms we have previously had in other hotels. Staff were very friendly and helpful - no problem with getting towels changed daily on request. The grounds of the resort is brilliant for kids with two play areas - grounds are very clean and well maintained - play areas more suitable for younger children. The hotel was pretty clean however there were cobwebs on the wall of our bedroom, quite a few small moths in the room and the toilet brush definitely needed to be thrown out as was clearly used by previous users - yuck! The food was ok - not a great level of choice on the menu. Breakfast was plentiful - although on our last morning some of the hot food was overcooked. The pool was grand - not as nice as the photos on the website makes it look - could do with an upgrade given the star rating of the resort. Overall its a really good location as a gateway to the West and we did enjoy our stay.

We were extremely disappointed with the quality of food in both the Woods and the House Hotel. This was exacerbated given Covid restrictions and the distance of the hotel from the town. Our dinner and lunch were of equally poor standard for a 3* and 4*. Hotel.

Not bad, but House Hotel is much nicer....

Hotel was ok, nothing wrong with it. There is a big difference between the Woods Hotel and the House Hotel. Considering that the price was not that much different, had I known, I would have stayed in House and paid the extra.. Restrictions in place due to Covid (not the hotels fault) and the staff were excellent at communicating and ensuring it didn't impact on our stay.

Not very clean, had to move room twice before we got a clean room. On the third room we had to ask for the bathroom to be recleaned. Breakfast wear was also not cleaned properly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel needs to be decorated. Nice pool and spa. Good location

Our double bed... springs gone in double bed room 3027. Wife had to stay in single bed with one of the children. Also when we went to go to bed the key room wouldn’t work..., we had to wait 55 minutes at 23:30 because night porter couldn’t fix it. Have stayed before but rooms weren’t to standard and breakfast wear was filthy

Unhappy

I was very disappointed by the hotel. The girl at reception was very pleasant and efficient but the standards in this hotel very very poor. The room was shabby and very basic. Thankfully there was wifi as my children could watch netflix as all the tv had to offer was bbc stations. The corridors smelt musty and sad to see a fire escape with furniture stored in the stairwell. There were other reasons as to why i would not return but I have emailed the hotel with my complant and await their response.

Wont be going back!

Everything was fine into the early hours of the morning. Gang of lads in bedroom opposite decided to carry on their party in the hallway. I put up with it for a while then had to tell them to be quiet. Opened my door to find the lads moving a bed from one room to the next at 3.45am! They carried on partying until well after 6am. Got no sleep, very disappointing as we were only staying the 1 night!

Really relaxing family stay

Just back from two nights at the Breaffy Woods and i really enjoyed all the facilities, especially the leisure center. Very hearty breakfast and polite staff. Great spot for families.

Swimming pool seperate from hotel not ideal in winter as cold and wet heads. Food in house terrible better foods in the woods part. Food and drink expensive and not great choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beds very comfy. Great loxation for families but cost if eating makes a stay expensive.
