Loved the quaintness of this old home and its location in lovely Castine. We were able to walk just down Main St. for coffee and fresh breakfasts each morning and enjoyed the cute shops located nearby. The apartment was neat and clean, and nicely decorated.
Unfortunately, the lack of communication with management was quite frustrating. When we arrived we were unable to locate the on-site parking as there was no signage. We noticed right away that few of the electrical outlets were usable or that the cords for lamps and fans weren't long enough to reach and that no extra extension cords were provided. Both beds were listed as queen size, but one was a full, and the house in general lacked the personal touches we have always found in a rental (no coffee for the coffee maker, tissues, salt/pepper, etc). Also, we brought our dog and there was no outdoor trash receptacle on sight (we embarrassingly ended up using the bins for the rental home next door) for his bags of poop.
We reached out to the local manager who failed to contact us at all during our 4-night stay.
