Excellent stay in Cartagena. We were welcomed by Johana who was the concierge during our stay. She made is feel at home from the minute we arrived and helped us with tour arrangements and excellent restaurant recommendations. The hotel IIA súper clean and very well decorated. Note there is no elevators but not a problem for us. Loved our stay and hope we can go back.

Small hotel, with only a few other travelers. not easy to negotiate if you don’t speak Spanish, but staff tried to be helpful. Location was fine. Small pool offered limited and swimming in limited sunbathing.

The property was absolutely beautiful, from the front entrance to the interior to the bedrooms, everything was done very tastefully. We stayed in a junior suite on the rooftop and the views of the wall and the sea were enchanting. Breakfast was made to order with many choices, and delicious. We had dinner one evening and it was as good as any of the fine restaurants in the city. Above all, the staff were so accommodating, kind, and gracious. Would highly recommend this beautiful property.

This is an elegant,intimate and meticulous property with extremely attentive staff. It’s beautifully appointed, with a rooftop terrace with views of the sunset and ocean. The only drawback is that the swimming pool is extremely small and amenable for a plunge, but not for doing any strokes.

It is a gem , and the service is extra friendly . You feel more like at home rather then in an hotel. The quality of the service make it exceptional. I will go back again and again. I had the room on the roiftop and fantastic view. Love the breakfast à la carte . The architecture is quite modern and elegant in an old house , you get the best of both. Walk everywhere and east access to the airport

Casa La Merced by Mustique was the perfect place to both get away and engage in local activities. The staff was attentive and polite. We managed to communicate despite our limited Spanish proficiency. The chef was very accommodating for breakfast. The staff was helpful with recommendations for activities and reservations. The only negative was that the pool was awkwardly located in the middle of the lobby and the rooftop terrace was lovely but if the room next to it was occupied, it could lead to an uncomfortable social situation.

Excellent house/hotel. This is not your typical hotel. It is a stunning house in the moorish riyad style run by a hotel company. Hence there is no lobby in the traditional way one would expect of a hotel. All areas are communal - dining area, bar, terraces. The décor is impeccable, all in white and rattan contrasted with plants and a central blue pool which highlights the ambiance of the house. The only problem is that the house does not have an elevator. Service is very good. The rooftop terrace has a small jacuzzi and views if the Teatro Heredia and ocean.

I was very impressed with the architecture of the building, all the staff were amazing and helpful. The Junior room on the roof top was fantastic with a view and clean. Breakfast was delicious. I totally recommend this stunning boutique hotel.

My partner and I had such a great stay at Casa La Merced by Mystique. We were welcomed by Libnis and Jorge. Both so warm and friendly. They made our check-in process so smooth and our stay just as comfortable. The hotel was so beautiful, clean and most importantly, quiet. It’s a hidden gem within the Walled City. Such a relaxing vibe. The staff was just as amazing and very patient. The rooms were spacious, the Air conditioning, great, big bathrooms, nice shower space and hot water. The hot water may take a moment to kick in. The upstairs rooftop has a gorgeous overlook. The pool on the property is kept clean. Can’t forget to mention the breakfast that is provided every morning, such a great way to kick start the day! I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for tranquility within the walled city.

This property is a dream come true for anybody who is looking to have a quiet, luxurious and a super spoiled vacation. Everyone and I mean everyone on their team is so helpful and polite. The property is located right next to the beach so the view is captivating. It’s walking distance from everywhere in the walled city. Their breakfast is too good and so filling that you don’t feel hungry until late afternoon. You can take my word for it that you will absolutely love the vibe of this wonderful boutique hotel. I am definitely coming back again!
