I would stay at this hotel every time I am visiting Santa Barbara and Carpinteria. The location is great - minutes away from everything Carpinteria has to offer and a short drive from Santa Barbara. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied. The gym has a good selection of equipment. The rooms were large (our double queen room even had a sitting area with a. Small couch and coffee table) and clean and the beds were comfortable. I also really appreciated the coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge (with a small freezer!) in the room. The fact that the room had a bathtub was also very welcome so my toddler could take a bath during our trip. 5 stars!

Pleasently surprised, spacious comfortable room, friendly staff,can walk to beach and local shops, great little pool area. It was a quick stop on our travel up north, but we would go back for another stay in a heartbeat.

Rooms were a good size, and clean. Ask for a room away from the freeway. Breakfast area was nice.

We weren’t given a map of the hotel so we had to guess where our room was and where to park. We weren’t told what the WiFi password was or reminded of free breakfast the next morning. The hotel is close to the beach and there are a lot of places to shop and get food nearby. There is also a laundry facility, pool, and hot tub. Parking was plenty and so were the entrances into hotel. The hot water for showers didn’t run out and the water pressure was good. There is also a separate switch for the bathroom exhaust. The tv worked fine except the volume good not be controlled via remote as well as turning the tv off. There’s plenty of lights and outlets. My personal complaints are the traffic noise since our window faced the freeway. The pullout mattress had a nasty fresh stain like someone’s melted ice cream. The shower faucet had a leak. There was a squished dead spider on the ceiling. The carpet felt sticky so we had to walk around with our slippers on. Neighbors were yelling at each other in the middle of the night.

You claim to serve breakfast, but have no restaurant. Just a limited self-serve. To say “breakfast” is misleading and probably false.

The hotel is as very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast. The ladies in the breakfast area were very helpful and nice. They didn’t rush us out even though we stayed about 15 minutes after closing.

The property is well maintained though old. Backs up to the freeway, and my room was in the back so did hear freeway noise. Parking is not close to rooms. Rooms are outdated, but very clean. It's been a long time since I have been to a place where they put a lock on the shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Makes you feel like you are in an unsafe area. Breakfast was free, but no water, and juice machine was broken. Only option was cheese omlette's for eggs- so no non cheese egg option. Religious station was playing in the breakfast room which I found to be odd.

Wonderful stay at this property. A little dated, but it was nice and clean. Free daily breakfast was nice. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Will stay here again.
