Come join us at The Sand Bucket! Located at 405 Fourth Street N in the upper apartment, we have a great location only four blocks to the beach, Carolina Beach’s famous Boardwalk and Britt's donuts. Recently remodeled in 2023, there is a living room, bedroom with queen bed, one bathroom (shower only) and a fully equipped kitchen. There is high speed WiFi and a smart TV. The ground floor utility room houses a washing machine and dryer. The newly landscaped grounds include a patio with gas grill and outdoor shower. We love pets so Fido is welcome. Pet fee is $50/per dog with a 50 pound weight limit and a maximum of two dogs. Bring your boat! There is ample onsite parking for it. Carolina Beach boasts two boat ramps for easily launching your boat for fishing or recreation!

The place is super clean and convenient to most everything you could want in CB. Short walk to the boardwalk and many restaurants. Owners were helpful and very nice. They also gave an excellent sight seeing tip for our trip into Wilmington. Looking forward to another stay!

Cottage was lovely. Distance to beach was about 1/4 mile. We utilized Golf Cart Taxi service and it was very convenient to get around without searching for expensive parking.

Great location! Adorable and clean rental!

My husband and I stayed in this rental for a quick weekend getaway to the NC coast. The second floor rental was very clean and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Location was great as we walked everywhere to avoid paying for parking. The only note of concern is the stairs leading up to the 2nd floor. My husband is a big guy at 6’3”, 240 lbs, and the stairs would sway a bit when he walked up or down them. We would just take turns going up and down them to be safe. Not a big deal but a larger elderly person, who may not be as nimble, might feel nervous. Otherwise, a wonderful property and we would definitely stay here again!

Amazing, dog-friendly stay

We loved our stay at the Sand Bucket! As stated on the listing, it is an upstairs rental and the downstairs is a separate rental with a shared fenced in yard. The first night, nobody was staying downstairs, so it was nice to be able to let our dog out without worrying about that. The second night we introduced ourselves to the downstairs renters who also had a dog and all was fine from there. The VRBO itself was very nice and clean! It was small but perfect for two people (maybe 2 adults and a small child). It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach but was a very quiet neighborhood so we enjoyed that. I would recommend bringing a wagon or something to make carrying stuff to the beach easier. Only negatives were they didn’t provide soap for the shower or a hair dryer so be prepared with those things when you come! Overall it was an amazing stay and we would 100% stay there again!

Amazing little getaway!

We loved our stay, the property was amazing and the location was great to walk to everything we wanted to do! The property manager was also very easy to get in contact with. Will definitely stay here again. The only reason I gave a 4 star for accuracy of online listing is that both me and my best friend missed the fact that it was a split level property that shared an outdoor space when reading the property details. I brought my dog and he is anxious and doesn’t like small dogs so we couldn’t use the yard at all as there was someone downstairs with 2 small dogs. I just think it’s a little dangerous to share a yard with strangers dogs since you never know how dogs will react to each other, but we didn’t run into any issues with the dogs thank goodness and now that we know we can prepare for it next time, especially since it’s such a nice outdoor space!

Perfect Little Getaway

This little apartment had everything we needed for our first visit to Carolina Beach. The host was always responsive and we did not have any issues with getting in around 11 PM when we arrived. We did have a little dog with us and the fenced in backyard area was great for him to be outside with us. The listing said up to 3 people but it would be a tighter feel if we had another body with us to move around. Only con was the shower being very small but it serves its purpose! The location was just a few blocks from the main beach area and an easy walk to and from the beach and boardwalk. Past reviews that I read had mentioned not having enough basics in the kitchen and no laundry. It seems like the host really cares what guests say because we had all of the basics needed to cook a few meals in the apartment and complete a load of laundry. I always enjoy reviews that share exactly what can be found in the apartment especially in the kitchen so for those of you like me, here is what we experienced: -Laundry is a compact washer and dryer that is in an outside closet in the corner of the backyard next to the downstairs apartment entry door. Need your own detergent and supplies. -Kitchen had a compact stove and oven, full fridge, microwave, air fryer, coffee maker, toaster, cups, bowls, utensils, cutting board, 5+ pots/pans, small baking sheet, couple serving bowls, salt, pepper, coffee filters, dish soap, sponge, etc. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay!
