Perfect for a Family Vacation!

Fabulous location across from the beach and within walking distance to Carlsbad Village! We loved the outside courtyard with fire pit, grills with plenty of seating, umbrellas and space. Very comfortable beds and furniture; provide plenty of kitchen ware, towels and other amenities as well as all you need for the beach

We were very happy with our stay. The unit was very well-appointed and very clean. We were across the street from the beach and within walking distance to Carlsbad Village and all its offerings. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Great Condo in Carlsbad, by the beach and great firepit!

We enjoyed our stay here so much. 1. Location was amazing. 1 block to the great beach. We enjoyed volleyball and running on the paved path that runs along the beach. Easy 5 block rock to the villages many restaurnts even closer. Town has everything from fine dining to beach tacos. The three bedrooms were great. We had two couples and 2 children. Pleanty of room to spread out and an extra bed is available if needed Sand toys, boogie boards, and chairs were great. The shared firepit and grill area was very large and well maintained. I will rent here again on our next stay and you should too!

Great location that had to “grow” on us

Upon first arrival, we were very dismayed to find several surprises: 1) parking was very difficult. The one space we were alloted was very tight and made unpacking the car challenging. We also had two cars in our party so one of us had to find street parking, which was difficult to come by on the Saturday that we checked in, but got easier after the weekend. 2) Our unit was upstairs. We did not realize that our unit was up several stairs (not made clear in the description). This posed a problem for the physically challenged Grandpa in our group and loading and unloading a week's worth of groceries was exhausting. 3) I received a phone call at 2:50 pm on the day of arrival that our 4:00 check in time had to be moved back. We live about an hour away and our car was already loaded with perishables for our 5 day stay. We had planned to leave our house at 3:00 pm. We left at 4:15 pm and arrived to the unit at 5:15 pm to find that it still was not ready. We began unloading our car and deposited things on the outdoor deck while the cleaning staff finished up. We were able to get into the unit at 5:30 pm. On the upside, one of the cleaning crew took pity on Grandpa and carried some heavy items up for us. Once we got over the disappointment of finding some things different than expected, we highly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious and our party of 4 adults and 2 children had plenty of room. The outdoor courtyard is fantastic!

Another fantastic stay at the best condo in Carlsbad

We come to Carlsbad every summer, and we’ve stayed in many different homes. We keep coming back to Sean and Lily’s because it’s just the best. Newer, clean, well-stocked, great location a couple of blocks from the beach. This is just the best place to stay!

Cute little place! Perfect for whole family.

Walking distance to everything! Well stocked kitchen. Great patio and courtyard with fire pit and a couple BBQs and plenty of seating. Cornhole games too. Bathrooms are small but they do the job. Very clean and beds are comfy!!

A perfect beach accommodation

Our 3-generation family of six had a delightful time. The kitchen was full-service and friendly. Even though it’s October, we needed a hit of A/C in the bedrooms at night, and the wall units efficiently took care of that. The beach was a relatively short walk away. We appreciated the beach toys, beach towels, wagon, boogie boards. The common area was great for Sunday lunch and kid play. We hope to return!

The location of the property was conveniently located to the beach and town. The train is near enough that you do hear it periodically but it isn't so bad that you can't sleep at night. The unit was spacious and very clean. I liked the large flat screen tv and the sectional in the living room. They also have heaters in each room. Unfortunately the kids room with the twin bed heater didn't work and the heater in the other room was next to blinds that blew and made tons of noise all night. The only last comment is that the unit is behind a hotel and feels a bit like a converted motel. I was concerned that it would be loud but it wasn't.

Good property - great host but NOT a villa as advertised

When I booked this property, I booked it because it is advertised as "villa". From the photos and description, it seemed like the backyard is the private backyard attached to the house. As it turns out, the house is actually a condominium and the backyard and laundry are shared spaces. The entryway is narrow which just fits one car. I was pretty upset when I checked in. This is NOT what I was expecting at all. I searched for a house and I was in a 3 bedroom apartment with shared laundry and common space. Plus it was on second floor which was not apparent from the listing. In the money that I paid, I could have got good hotel service. So I was almost mad. What made me turn positive was the host and the good amenities in the house. Cooking utensils, sheets, pillows, towels - everything was nicely done. Host was responsive and helpful. We DID not use any of the common space since we had small kids and there was always someone else in the common area and we did not want to spoil the fun of those people with our kids screaming next to them. I wish if this was properly described as an apartment with shared spaces and was priced like an apartment. I would have given 1 or 2 stars if not for the proper amenities and good host. I still feel as if I got cheated with property description and price.
