"An absolutely beautiful place - the view was spectacular and the guest house was extremely well appointed. It is VERY far removed from, well, everything. We loved the space and would highly recommend it, but for at least a couple of nights stay. Be certain to have a phone that is FULLY functional in the UK (my Canadian phone did not often connect to British data) as we didn't receive our entry access until after we'd had the cleaning lady (who was wonderfully helpful) contact Elly the owner. Admittedly this was a "me problem", but was disconcerting. It is as stunning as the pictures! Recommended highly."

"Pretty much exactly what we had expected - clean, close to the ferry, a Tesco, and plenty of shops and eateries. Very much a spot on 3 star, like a Holiday Inn, Best Western; but in the Heberdies! Happy with our stay and the hotel."

"North Pod is in an amazing location overlooking Uig Sands. The views are stunning, with White-tailed Sea Eagles & Hen Harriers soaring over the dunes & mountains. And there are Otters swimming & numerous sea birds in the bay… all on your doorstep!"

"First and foremost: the hosts were so welcoming and friendly. There had been a very minor glitch at check-in (which was resolved immediately) but the hosts insisted on "making up for your trouble" by treating me to a traditional dinner at a nearby hotel. This was not necessary (I didn't feel they had anything to apologize for) but it was very appreciated. AND the cottage itself was very welcoming: everything was there--coffee, tea, cereals, milk for coffee amd cereals, lots of "biscuits" plus all the condiments and spices you needed for elegant meals. The kitchen had all the dinnerware and pots and utensils you required, the bathroom was stocked with lots of amenities, and there were plug adaptors for American-style appliance plugs. They really put a lot of thought into providing everything anyone would need to live there. It felt like home."

"Our host Marie was excellent. We didn’t arrive at the property until the last ferry got in but she was there to welcome us and told us how to light the fire and provide a general rundown of the house. She even provided a welcome basket that was full of essentials to get us started the next day.The rooms are spotless and the beds were all really comfy.I have no hesitation on recommending this property and know that when I’m going back to Lewis, I will be staying here again"
