The floor is very wavy making you feel unsteady. The couch was also low and hard as a rock. The smith river behind the house is barely visibleThe worst part is the entry. "Absolutely loved this little piece of paradise. We especially loved that we were able to have our furbabies with us. We love the fenced in wrap around porch, which I think our furbabies loved even more. Even though we were staying during a drought, it didn't matter. We loved how peaceful and quiet it was. We lived the story behind this little barnhouse which made it that more special. We pray that Bassett gets the much needed rain that it needs. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with our family."

"The staff is what makes it. I think I’m on my fifth or sixth stay so maybe seventh or eighth night. The staff is amazing. I know I would steal at least two of them away for my company if I didn’t live 3 1/half hours away from where my son goes to college. My company could use staff like this. The beds are comfortable, it’s pretty clean, it’s outdated, but you know it’s 80 or $90 a night so that really can’t matter much. I don’t have any complaints."

"This was a fantastic property and much nicer than being at a hotel for a week. The grounds are really pretty and the neighborhood is nice for walks. Erin was amazing and it was nice to have coffee in the morning, breakfast provided if you wanted it and a really quiet experience. Note that this is a house from the 1950s and modern amenities are there, but it's definitely like traveling back in time a little bit"
