"Our Family visited Westport for 5 nights, your home was perfect for our Stay. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the town center. The house had everything we needed, we loved the outdoor area for relaxing after a full on day of sightseeing, eating and drinking. The beds and rooms were all very comfortable. "This peaceful cottage is in a great location if you want to get away from it all. Finding it may have been easier if the instructions were in English rather than German. Easy access to Westport and Newport if you need to shop. The cottage itself was not the warmest place we have ever stayed and could do with a little tlc but generally comfortable . The inspiring views of Croagh Patrick were largely blocked by an overgrown hedge. However we enjoyed our stay very much."

"We spent two lovely weeks at the Brownstown Lodge. The house is spacious and comfortable. It was a good base for our exploration of western Ireland. Thomas responded immediately to our texts. "It is a really good house for a group of up to 10 people. It's three minutes from Westport by car and easily walkable too. The house overall was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The beds were really good quality and comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is it would be great to have a few additional en suites but it worked well as it was for our group. We all agreed that we would happily rebook The Rocks were we to return to Westport again."

"Overall the property was generally clean and basic. Alot of cobwebs (inside & out) and flies (dead and alive). The stairs to 3 bedrooms upstairs was unsafe, too steep and carpet nails and rips were dangerous throughout the house. The central heating was only warm upstairs and bearly tepid downstairs. The ensuite shower down stairs was modern, but smells of blocked & dirty drain and also had very poor water pressure. Overall we would not recommend the accommodation due to safety of the stairs."
