The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a couple of problems with our room but everything was soon addressed. Breakfast was basic but plentiful. The hotel is centrally placed and close to the airport shuttle bus.

Good location
Small room, the bed was very comfortable and we had a view of the medieval city from a room at the back of the hotel. Air con did not work, had been switched to heat only, so we found the room very warm. Staffe werevery friendly and helpful during our stay, and breakfast was good. Excellent location for exploring the old and new towns

The hotel is located in front of a park and has close proximity to the town with plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities. It is walking distance from the ancient walled city grounds. The hotel breakfast is very good and you can eat indoors or on the outdoor patio. It is a great spot and I would stay there again.

Ideal location
Friendly and helpful staff. Small room but great location making everything in walkable distance. Close to the medieval city, close to the canal to walk along, close to the town square for restaurants and shopping.

Size matters
The room was too small and there was only one waste bin, which was in the bathroom and it was too small, but none in the bedroom. I found difficulty in the bathroom as I couldn’t turn around there

Small, but Comfortable
This is a good spot to stay that is well situated between the train station (a 20-minute walk) and the Old City (a 20-minute walk). We were greeted warmly at reception and the room was clean and quiet. The A/C did not cool as well as I would have liked, but overall the room met our needs. The hotel also allowed us to leave our luggage while we explored the Old City before leaving on an afternoon train.

Shocking customer service.
When we got to hotel the receptionist was as much use as a chocolate fire guard as our car which was an SUV with a top box measuring 2.5m tall was unable to get into underground car park. She put her hands in the air and said that we would have to park it on the main road outside the hotel which was a very busy road. The car alone was worth £50,000 and all our luggage etc was either in the top box or packed in the back open to passers by and a prime target for vehicle theft. On checking in and finding all this out, we went and booked and stayed in a Campanile which cost us over €150. We cannot comment on the rooms of the hotel as we didn’t get passed the front door.

Convenient position and lovely breakfast. Request a room at the back as the main road is very busy and loud. No spare pillows and only 1 towel each. Tea and coffee facilities in reception only.

We stayed one night enroute north On a motorcycle.. helpful friendly reception .. comfy bed and clean room .. very small though compared to other ibis we’ve stayed in .. great location close to the old medieval town and next to a lovely square .. quiet even though on a busy road .. parking was expensive at €9 .. usually we never pay for a motorcycle at other ibis hotels and in fact anywhere we stay ..

Great location and friendly staff
Staff was very friendly and also accommodated our late check in and late breakfast. Location is right in front of a beautiful park and walking distance to the castle. We put less than excellent overall due to the very small elevator and small room where the door doesn’t even open completely but we think that is the norm for that city. We would definitely stay there again.

Central and Convenient
The hotel is perfectly situated between the Old City and the new town. It sits on the corner of a beautiful square where the underground car park is - at 7 euros for 24 hours - a bargain! The hotel reception staff were a pleasure to deal with and were on hand all the time. The room was fine with air conditioning and comfortable bed. As with other reviewers I agree the bathroom is really small but for us it didn’t matter at all. Despite being on a busy road there wasn’t any road noise. We were really impressed with the breakfast as the choices were superb. It was lovely to have local cheeses and preserves on offer as well as choices of breads, other cheeses, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit salad, cakes, dried and fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The price was 9.5 Euros each so no complaints there. We will definitely stay again when we come back to Carcassonne.
