Vi var mycket nöjda med detta lugna fina läge på landet. Familjär stämning nära till många fina vingårdar och golfbanor. Ägarfamiljen mycket mån om oss gäster, fin ren pool. Vi kommer tillbaka till Hoopenberg.

Cute guesthouse, not the perfect date.

Cute guesthouse with a big room, where we felt comfortable. The house is old fashioned, but it all suits very well and reminds me of those old movies with big farm houses in the middle of nowhere. The service was perfect and there are really good wines available to purchase. Only the bed squeaked quite a lot. Breakfast was also good. Unfortunately we were there on the 5th of January, Saturday and holdiday season, so there was no wine tour/tasting or dinner available.

Beautiful farm atmosphere, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Decor and linen needs a bit of a boost, there is no theme and looks if bits and pieces was used to fill the room. I would also prefer small individual packed shower gel and shampoo.

Absolutely amazing stay. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Setting is so peaceful. Rooms are beautiful. There are no negatives.

A lovely house in a peaceful place with a picturesque backdrop. But what made it exceptional was our host, Chris, and the staff. We truly enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave.

Farm stay in a winery!

Such a nice place! The wines are pretty good too! We'd be here every few weeks were we staying in Cape Town.

Relaxing

Really peaceful. Loved the dogs, it was fun to watch the collie rounding up the hens. The room was a little dark for my taste but saying that it had everything we needed including a little kitchen and a table and chairs to sit outside. Breakfast was delicious and the dining room lovely. We really enjoyed our stay.

Schönes Haus / Weingut. Im Zimmer wartet eine Flasche Wein zur Begrüßung. Nette Besitzerin, tolles Frühstück Gemütliche Lobby, auf Wunsch wird abends gekocht. Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher vorhanden. Spaziergänge auf dem Gut sind prim möglich.

Perfect accommodation in a beautiful location!

AMAZING PLACE TO STAY!! I can't recommend this place enough! The hosts were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Beautiful country setting on a vineyard with a winery just steps away (worth a visit, can wine taste and tour the winery). The room was spacious, the bathroom was huge and they left a free bottle of wine from their winery in our fridge as a welcome gift. Breakfast was a great start to the day.

Ruhig,landschaftlich,schön!

Sehr ruhige Lage,sehr schöne Landschaft,sehr bemühtes Personal.Die Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel,das Badezimmer ist altmodisch und renovierungsbedürftig.Das hat aber nicht so sehr gestört,denn im Allgemein alles wunderbar war.Eine gute Gelegenheit die Weingüter zu besuchen .Das Frühstück war reichlich und sehr lecker.War ein angenehmer Aufenthalt von 6 Nächte Ende August.

A Perfect Respite Amid The Vines

This place is simply perfect. We came over from Cape Town after crawling off a ship for a month. We just needed some piece and quiet. Wow. Did we get it. We took the PERFECT bottle of free wine from the room's fridge and went out and sat by the pool. Right over a low fence is the vineyard. It was an absolutely splendid and serene couple hours. Plus a very good dinner and a fine breakfast. It set a new benchmark for what we want out of a place that requires relaxing.

マイナスポイントを仮にあげるとすれば、レストランが併設されていないので、ディナーを食べる場所が周囲にあまりなく不便、部屋のトイレがカーテンで仕切られているだけなので少し気まずいことぐらいでしょうか。 優しくフレンドリーなオーナー、美味しい朝食、そして広々とした花が咲き誇る敷地を可愛いワンコたちとお散歩する、そんな夢のような体験ができる素敵なゲストハウスです。

Ideal für Erholungssuchende - romantisch

Das Hoopenberg Guesthaus liegt 15 km von Stellenbosch und 20 km von Paarl. Um Abendessen zu gehen, muss man also mit 15 km Fahrt rechnen, da die Restaurants in der Umgebung um 17.00 Uhr schließen. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, ein vorgegebenes Menü im Guesthouse zu erhalten. Sehr nette Besitzer, schönes Anwesen, gute Weine, toller Poolbereich.

Best stay over on entire 35 day trip

Best stay on a 35 days road-trip through South Africa with about half as many hotels and lodges. Fantastic welcome, wonderful room, great breakfast and overall well-being. Wonderful surroundings, 2 sweet dogs kept us company outside our room at night. Nice pool. Everything was well thought through. Beautifully decorated. We so regret we have booked other hotels and lodges around Cape Town for our weeks stay there. They even have am luxury tent overlooking the small dam and it has a private delightful outside shower. We are seasoned travellers and this is one of the places we will remember. We will be back

Wie Urlaub auf dem Bauernhof ohne Tiere

Das Guesthouse befindet sich in 15km Entfernung zu Stellenbosch, am äußersten Rand der Weinanbaugebiete. Die Siedlung heißt Klapmuts und auf der anderen Seite der Bahnlinie befindet sich das Guesthouse. Man kann den Tag am Pool verbringen und einen regnerischen Tag könnte man im Gemeinschaftswohnzimmer verbringen. Die Betreiberin wohnt im Haus nebenan. Herrlich waren die Aufenthalte im benachbarten Weingut-Restaurant Eaglevlei. Dort ging es gutbürgerlich zu. Familien kamen mit ihren Kindern, oder Paare. Angenehme Ausnahmeerfahrung war, dass dort sowohl Schwarz und Weiß als Gäste verkehrten.
