House was clean and well taken care of. Quite neighborhood. Plenty of extra beach things if you forgot yours. Master bed was a little hard but that is the only thing.
The property was exactly as shown on Vrbo.It was spacious, clean and everything we needed. We really enjoyed the pool area. The only issue was the deck-dock area that needs to be updated as some of the boards were lifting up and splintering.
Beautiful location beautiful house nice and quiet, clean everything that was listed on the website was exactly what was there plus more. Close to everything
My wife, daughter, fur baby & I enjoyed our stay. This house had everything & more than you would need. It is located in a very quiet, friendly residential neighborhood & close to many restaurants. We enjoyed the view from the pool & was able to take advantage of it everyday. Ft Myers beach is only an easy 25 minutes away.
A lovely house in a great location. The neighbourhood felt safe and the house is only a few minutes drive to shops and restaurants (would definitely recommend The Twisted Lobster). The house layout really suited us with the main bedroom on one side, the living area and kitchen in the centre and the other two bedrooms on the other side. Outside is the pool and boat dock area which may need a bit of attention, kayaks are provided which we didnt use and there are bikes and fishing rods in the garage. Unfortunately we didnt see anything in the canal (probably due to the red tide) but if you are an iguana fan you wont be disappointed as several of them appear every day to sunbathe.Overall we would recommend it.
Wonderful property, pool, sunsets and space! 4.5 / 5 !!!!!
My 2 teenagers and I stayed for a week and had a great time! Definitely a 4.5 / 5 rating! Here are our pros, cons and some helpful ideas for the property owners!
Pros:
- the pool was awesome and a life saver on the insanely hot days!
- A/C worked amazing and we loved all of the interior fans
- we loved all of the interior space and the exterior dock was an awesome spot for coffee and sunsets
- the location is great and the neighborhood is soooooo quiet
- the furniture and beds were very comfortable
- loved all of the smart TV's
- the fridge with wicked ice maker!
- the laundry on-site and "extras" you can use in the garage
Cons:
- the garbage disposal was always clogged, even when we arrived (though we just didn't use it and didn't call for service), but having standing water in the sink was gross to look at all week
- the internet was not great unless you were very close to the router in the kitchen (I'd recommend a Google Nest or wifi extenders due to the size of the house)
- the house is a little outdated, but we didn't mind all that much to be honest (needs all of the trim, doorframes, and baseboards cleaned though)
- the fan on the lanai has little to no power and doesn't generate any wind/breeze, so we didn't last long in the heat sitting outside
- the house needs new frying pans, more than 2 steak knives, some cookie sheets, etc. A quick look over the kitchen supplies would help, but generally we were able to cook and made due with everything that was there!
Wonderful stay in Cape Coral! Clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and in a great location. The host was excellent and communication was easy. We loved the pool and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend and would definitely return!
The pictures of the house do not do it justice. It was perfect for our family. We greatly enjoyed the pool area..even the teenager. We will definitely be back!
The property was amazing from the moment I arrived. Easy to check in. Extremely clean and very warm and inviting. The entire beach decor is exactly what I was looking for while on vacation. The house had everything you wanted in a vacation home. Kayaks, fishing poles, beach chairs, coolers, games, pool and lots of seating inside and out. I absolutely loved staying at Sue and Bruce Larson's place for my 50th birthday. It was one that I will always cherish and remember. I will definitely be back and hopefully have the joy of staying at their place again!!!
Thanks for renting out your beautiful home. It was fantastic!!
The house is beautiful and worked perfectly for the 2 couples on the trip. We had an issue with our bed and once we realized a few days into the trip we immediately messaged Bruce who came over and fixed it that same day and sleeping was much better! We love to fish and enjoyed catching some cat fish off the dock(even left a bucket and cooler for future fishers!) Home was truly beautiful and had everything we needed. My one and only true complaint was finding out after arrival that we had an "electricity allowance." Now this would not have bothered me had it been disclosed in the listing, but it wasn't, it was in a binder we noticed a few days into the trip. But honestly when I'm on vacaction I like the house to be comfortable to what I like, not what someone tells me to like. I would prefer a cost is tied into the rental or listed in the rental description, rather than an additional cost sprung on me at arrival.
We stayed here for a week get away from the cold Minnesota weather and this house was perfect for a small family. It honestly felt like a home away from home, and our kids (3 and 7) lived in the pool. This house has everything that you need and some of the areas of the house are more updated than pictures do show.
The only con was they had made the tub/shower only usable as a shower. But we made due! Just nice to have a tub for two young kids but we honestly can't complain. To many pros to out weigh the con!
Like I said we came from Minnesota so we packed light. We went to the beach multiple days and they had so much to bring to the beach! Chairs, umbrellas, toys, beach bag, boogie boards. It was perfect. I packed sunscreen and aloe and they had some sitting there waiting for us.
Also the location of this home in cape coral is ideal. You are so close to downtown and a short drive to fort myers and sanibel island. You are in a very family friendly area and it's quiet. You are at the end of the road and it was just so serene. Made me want to move there! Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Lovely Lanai & Location
Positives: canal view, lanai, natural light, spaciousness of house, beautiful floors, decor, beds, central location, neighborhood, landscaping, coffee makers, communication prior to arrival, size of pool, pool floats, most appliances, bikes, kayaks, beach items, and garage availability for rental vehicle
What could be improved, but wasn’t too big a deal:
1. Communication During Visit (I emailed Sue once regarding the pool cleanliness and heaviness of the pool cover. I called Bruce about the internet going out and the possibility of scheduling a boat ride. Neither responded in writing or with a phone call to me. I was not told what day the pool would be cleaned, and it wasn’t cleaned until Thursday. Additionally, we were not informed that a new HVAC system would be installed more than an hour before our check out time on Saturday. We didn’t mind, but it was surprising and left me without being able to lock up the garage as the workers needed access.
2. House Updates: Overall, the house was very clean, but there were noticeable older areas. The main bath has disintegrating baseboards along the vanity, the longer vertical blinds were of varying lengths and dingy, and the primary suite’s bathroom has an odd and significant drop into the shower. I ended up needing to use that one because my mother and aunt could not have navigated it very safely even with the safety bars. The dishwasher worked, but was older. The kitchen layout was fantastic with great views and everything we needed. However, the counter, cupboards and drawers seemed older and a but “wonky” (sticking drawers, etc.)
We had a fantastic visit and view and location were lovely.
We arrived to find that the boat lift pictured as functional was missing the entire left support board and was completely unusable. I immediately reached out to the property manager, and she replied that the lift is not able to be used per the owner. We asked why that wasn’t listed in any of the descriptions, rental agreements, and why the lift was pictured as functional if it was unusable and they were aware. She was not able to provide any other answer other than we couldn’t use it. Their only solution was to dock the boat next to the broken lift, which I explained wouldn’t allow the drain plug to be removed to empty out FL rain water. I asked, twice, for an alternate contact number which she ignored. I also tried calling the number listed on their website and left a voicemail, to which we have not gotten a reply. Since we were unable to use the lift, we had to use one of the three ramps the host had listed on their welcome email and binder in the house as a public ramp. The ramp is not public and we received a parking ticket for using it. To which the property manager replied “sorry you parked in the wrong spot”… so basically, they were of absolutely no help and had zero empathy for causing my family hardship during our summer vacation. We are extremely disappointed in the host, and the property manager. The house was nice, could definitely use some updating. One of the burners on the stove wasn’t working at all and the master bathroom must be stuck on only scalding hot.
