Cannock Chase Country Park

Extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. Our room clearly had not been properly prepared or set up for guests, yet we were still charged a premium rate for the stay. It had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, the carpet was heavily stained, and the en-suite was visibly dirty and had a slimy feel to it. The overall standard of cleanliness and presentation was appalling and nowhere near what we would expect, particularly at the rate we were charged. We understand that issues can occasionally arise, but this was far beyond what is reasonable. The condition of the room made our stay genuinely unpleasant, and we would not stay here again.

Room was lovely, spacious and clean. Communal areas are a bit dated and tatty in places. The location is quite rural. It’s £5 to park overnight. WiFi was it and miss. They are dog friendly which is fab. For the price it was good.

Stay here a lot for work and rarely have any issues. Staff are in the main friendly and refer to you by name, breakfast is great, beds are comfy and bathrooms have a powerful shower in most rooms. Only gripe is on weekends rooms over the front of the hotel in the Summer can be noisy.
