We usually don't stay in Holiday Inn's. After this stay, it's not a habit we will be changing!
The hotel is quite literally built in a hole in the ground (used to be a chalk quarry) yet somehow still managed to have such poor water pressure that a decent shower was impossible.
The beds are very, very cheap and extremely uncomfortable - unlike the other brand of Inn, where the beds are superb.
Our bathroom sink was blocked and there was a slightly grudging agreement to get it sorted while we were out for the day.
Room cleaning did not include replacement of used toilet roll, clean coffee cups or clean water glasses. Pretty poor, in my opinion.
The included breakfast was not great. Powdered eggs! Yuk! And the whole "restaurant" was untidy, with uncleared plates etc stacked on tables. Woefully awful coffee too.
In short, go Premier. You deserve better than the Holiday Inn express Cambridge.
