Our host is rightly proud of the apartment (a family home) and it shows in the furnishings and supplies for the kitchen (we shopped in the market and cooked our meals as part of this trip, so that was an important feature). "Beautiful property with priceless views. The on-site restaurant also offered a nice light lunch. The pool area could have been spruced up a bit with some better furniture, but the room was beautiful. Be careful when using the shower as well as it is easy for the water to spray onto the floor. Make sure you understand where the property is located before booking as it is quite a ways outside of Florence city center. I rented a car and drove through the Tuscan hills to arrive."

"We visited four very different parts of Italy and our stay at Fattoria Lavacchio may have been our favorite. One important thing to know that was a little tricky to figure out was that you check-in at “Casabella”. The property belonging to Fattoria Lavacchio includes multiple buildings spread along 1km or so of the road. Our room ended up being an apartment about 300m from Casabella (the building in the pictures here with the pool). There was not traditional a/c but we didn’t need it with the fans and air coolers they provided. We also loved sleeping with the windows wide open and no need for screens because no bugs!! Even in the hottest part of the summer!! We love star gazing at night, cooking class overlooking the winery, horseback riding, and dinner on the patio by the pool. We also enjoyed the breakfast with fresh juices and jams made there at Fattoria Lavacchio. They also make their own olive oil. We felt very relaxed and refreshed after our visit there. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Gorgeous place, amazing views. They overbooked dinner and we had a wait of 2 hours for our food to come out. Pool was amazing and there was two to choose from, one looked quieter. Main part of the building is 15th century, which was beautiful. Easy to find with google maps NOT Apple Maps. Plenty of parking."

"We had a beautiful vacation in the old hilltop farmhouse. The host took care of really everything and made it a real experience for us. The pool was always taken care of and the view as promised amazing. Thank you very much Lorenzo any time again!"
