Loved the buffet breakfast! Staff is amazing! Very kind and attentive to guests! I will note that 1 of the 3 rooms booked had an odd smell. They kindly sorted the situation and changed room. This location is also close to Robinson mall where the grocery store/any other shopping you need to do is located. You can easily find tricycles also there, but we instead chose to drive. We did not have an issue with parking although it spaces can be tight the security guards in the parking lot were very quick to assist! Awesome stay!

All Monarch staffer are so friendly, courteous, well behaved, hotel wise was a great place to stay with family, friends, and relatives. This hotels was excellent to unwind, gathering, business, and social gathering. I totally recommended this hotels.

The stay is fine except the Monarch hotel gave another guest the same key code that can access our room. We were stunned after a guest or stranger entered our room. Not only our privacy has been disrupted, we felt sudden fear of our security. We reported the incident to the hotel front desk and they said they will investigate the problem.

Great place to stay! Worth every penny!
Totally unexpected to find such a hotel with class in the local town. The hotel itself is gorgeous - both exterior and interior. The staff were top notch - very warm, friendly and accommodating - from security, to front desk, to wait staff from the lobby restaurant and Nord cafe. We got a room with 2 double beds, great size and very clean. Bathroom also has a big shower area. Nice pool for kids. Safe and enough parking space. Hotel is located across a Robinson's mall and nearby restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay at this place again when we visit Dagupan!

We really enjoyed our stay even for overnight only. Its so clean, the staffs are very accommodating. I love the style of the building. Breakfast options are good and my kids enjoyed the pool. Highly Recommended

Great place. It could use more amenities and perks such as in room coffee. They only give 2 each day, quite absurd if the hotel wants to be comparable to US high standard hotels. Staffs are the best anyone can wish for. That is where Monarch stands out from even the best hotels anywhere in the world.

A lovely place to visit!
It was such a lovely stay with my mother and her friends. They celebrated their 50th senior highschool reunion and everyone had so a lovely time here. We all traveled from different parts of the world to be here and the hotel did a great job of hosting everyone. The food and accommodations were amazing! Highly recommend this place to stay!

Property is nice and clean - however bad service trumps all that. I’ll give 2 stars for staff/service only because they acknowledged their mistakes. It seems like they need to learn how to become more welcoming. I understand that security is important but just because a person looks a certain way, doesn’t mean they should be treated anything less than human. The Philippines and its class system is so outdated and cruel. Also, the staff are always so concerned about the cost behind every service. They don’t treat you as a welcomed guest but as someone who is there to give them your money.

Okay Hotel, but not so smart front desk personnel
I booked a room for my best friend and his wife in this hotel. They requested that I provide them an authorization form with a copy of my ID for verification - which I did. Just to be sure, my friend stopped by the day before check-in to re-confirm with the authorization form - which was good. The day of the check-in, they are once again looking for the authorization form and delayed their check-in because the people in the front desk did not think to make a photo copy for their records and denied my friend stay until he can provide the proof again. Such an air-head front desk personnel working there.

Booked The Monarch as we were visiting parents in Pangasinan. We were blown away by the excellent service and the beauty of the hotel. Staff were very attentive and courteous - the Pilipino people are amazingly kind and always looking out on how to serve you and will find a way to help you. I truly felt like I was royalty there. The overall experience is comparable to a Ritz-Carleton in the US but way more affordable. This will be where we stay again when visiting the Pangasinan area. Thank you all at The Monarch!

This is one of the worst 4 star I've stayed in, the room they gave us is so noisy nearby that it wakes you up early in the morning. Second, we ask for an iron and a board that never came. Food is fair nothing special about it. We're absolutely disgusted, unsatisfied and feel cheated for the price we paid. We'll definitely not recommended this hotel to anybody.
