Staff was nice but building was really old, it looked like a jail or like in horror movies. Really old. Plus they were located on 4th floor and elevator doesn't work on the floor of 4th.
Shower room smelled so bad and not hot water even. Decided not to shower or use the restroom
Did not even stay there. The place was filthy in the middle of a dark alley in the ghettos of Cairo. Shoddy creepy building with a broken fridge as a lift, which we didn't dare use. Soon as we got there, we left and went to Raddison. Avoid. Place looked like a brothel from the movie Taken

WARNING: DO. NOT. STAY. HERE!!!!
Where do I even begin. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had.
The hotel experience started out fine. We checked in and Mamoud offered us a (seemingly) great deal - $45 USD per person to be taken around for two days to the pyramids, city tour and a dinner cruise. It sounded fantastic, but after the first day of being driven to the Pyramids, with no options except one particular camel/ horse guide shop. ALSO our "guide", and incredibly sweet man, spoke next to no English, so it actually wasn't a "guide" so much a private chauffeur. For what we paid we could have gotten the same service from Uber and saved a ton of money.
Next, our toiletries that we had set in the bathroom were stolen by the maid- the bathroom by-the-way, had the sorriest excuse for a shower - a tiny tile basin, no shower curtain and a spray head. We were livid because we are traveling for six weeks and this is our lifeline to having some sanity in the ability to "get clean" after a dirty, dusty day exploring. Mamoud handled It terribly, he basically laughed at our anger and did nothing to rectify the situation. He also made the excuse that she "threw it out". Also, there was a mouse in the room and it chewed through one of our bags and some clothing. No communication was given about breakfast, which was supposed to be included but we did not receive all three days we stayed there. Understand that any service he offers is a scam/ waste of money. Do the research and find your own

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
Very crude but for the price I will not complain. It would have been nice to receive a towel.
Very positive stay here. It's a nice little hostel with a charming little sunroom/common area. The location is right across the street from the Cairo Museum which can't be beat. They also arranged a city tour (Coptic, citadel, and museum) for me. Note that the tour does not come with a guide, rather it's a driver who takes you to the spots you want, when you want, and returns to pick you up when you decide. I also booked airport transfers. Every employee or driver was very nice. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for convenient location and help with getting around the city. Not a party hostel at all when I was there which suited my needs.
The check in was a little interesting. The owner, Muhammed was a bit pushy and not very accommodating. We rented a room for two nights even though we only needed one because our flight was leaving late the next night. Upon arrival I was informed I had to spend the first night at a room in the hotel upstairs. I asked if there was anyway we could stay two nights in one room, regardless of which room or hotel we stayed at. He said not to worry to just go to sleep and come back in the morning that I could bring all my belongings to the front and he could take them to my room. This was a bit strange as we were in a foreign country and someone was telling us what to do with our travel arrangements. We had to end up splitting our one day in Cairo in pieces so we could accommodate the check in at the other room. Breakfast was ok....no milk for coffee....kind of weird. The bathroom flooded and smelled... the hotel is hard to find as it is in the middle of an alley on the 4th floor of a building.

Booked a private room with bathroom. Arrived late to find no private room and was given a bed in mixed dorm already occupied by the opposite gender. As it was late, Ihad no choice, slept poorly and left as early as possible.
very bad experience. I arrived to check in and they told me the room I already paid was on maintenance, and just proposed me a dormitory room which I didn't accept.so I had to lose time to find another hotel..very very disappointed. But the worst of all is they didn't want to refund me (still asking for hotels.com to refund but they don't trust me). stay away of that hotel, trust me!!
