"BAD STAFF"

"I was a bit put off by my initial view of the place. I think it lacks curb appeal. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms have clearly been renovated and felt modern."

"The hotel is old, with a bit of a smell in the rooms. The TV didn’t work, and every night I’d be woken up by some animal running around in the ceiling. Walls are paper thin, so noise really travelled between rooms."

"Everything was great, nice to have everything so well stocked. My grand-nephew loved dipping the net into the pool and scooping up toys. Lemons on the tree in the front yard made excellent lemonade. Maybe it is a Meyer's Lemon? Be sure to touch the dark ring around the door lock on side door to be able to see the buttons. Mitchell Park is right across the street. We enjoyed going over there often, a nice place to walk, pickle ball, and lots of playground equipment. Kirk's Burgers are just down the street. We plan to stay here again the next time."

" Breakfast menu was very good . Parking was easy and parking lot felt safe. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. "

"The property itself is nice, but there were a few issues that affected our stay. The walls are quite thin, and the hotel is loud. Because the property hosts events like wedding receptions and conferences, there were many people walking the halls late at night and early in the morning, and we could hear every single word. The room above us had a crying baby, and the lack of sound insulation made it feel as though the noise was coming from inside our own room. We also had a disappointing experience at the pool area. It was quite chilly, and the heaters and fire pits were out of propane. Since our kids were excited to swim, we asked staff if the heaters could be turned on. We were told they would take care of it, so we ordered food and planned to enjoy the patio restaurant by the pool. However, after 20 minutes, nothing had been done. We asked again and were told maintenance was on the way, though the staff member seemed irritated. After waiting an additional 30 minutes with no update, we followed up once more and were met with further annoyance. By the time maintenance finally arrived, our kids had already gotten out of the pool, and we ended up taking our meals to-go because we were too cold to stay. It was disappointing, especially since we had planned a girls’ weekend and booked multiple rooms specifically to enjoy the pool, outdoor patio, and restaurant. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to fully use those amenities due to the lack of functioning heaters. "

"Loved this place. This was our first time here. We just needed a relaxing getaway for one night and we really picked the right place. So well-designed. Beautiful open-air lobby and pool. The pool is very small - not meant for Olympic swimming, but you can do short laps. The sauna/steam-room were just steps away. The dinner was amazing. We will absolutely be back. What a sweet oasis!"
