"We stayed at the house for a week with a group of 9 friends. The house itself was great! We were kindly welcomed by Jean Pierre who gave us some great tips on what to do in the area. The ruins of Donzy are nice to visit, and the hilly region is beautiful to walk through. Otherwise there is little to do for tourists in Panissières itself, it's just a regular French village. Luckily there are large cities (Lyon and Saint-Etienne) within a one hour drive. The same goes for the Beaujolais wine...

"As advertised and as expected the accommodations was in an old French country farmhouse. This was not the Carlton but it was the experience we were looking for. The owner advertised a washing machine but it was not available. Found a couple of cobwebs, but overall we were satisfied."

"We had a fantastic stay here in the house and used the pool a lot! A great halfway point between Calais and Nice if driving down. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. When we stayed the temperature was over 30 degs outside but it did not feel too warm inside which was helpful. The property has a huge garden with swings and a play house which was fun for the kids to use. "Nous avons passé un agréable séjour pour fêter la nouvelle année entre amis dans cette demeure. Le cadre est très sympa... cette ambiance chateau, le décor....c'est dépaysant. Petit bémol, au travers de l'annonce nous ne savions pas comment son réparti les 12 couchages dans les 5 chambres disponibles, nous étions donc 5 couples et l'une des chambres (la plus petite) ne dispose que d'un petit lit simple avec impossibilité de rajouter un couchage. Sur le moment cela nous a posé un réél problème,...

"We booked the whole accommodation for 3 weeks and although owner was very helpful when asked mainly, we had to request linen changes and adequate cleaning supplies, we had to provide own toilet paper and bin liners. A car is a necessity as laundromat and supermarket are 4 kilometres away. The village is superb, great walks, a great local restaurant with several surrounding wonderful villages."

"The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was small but clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. The area doesn't have any public transport, but I was meeting friends who live nearby and have a car so that wasn't an issue for me. The on-site restaurant was closed over the weekend, which was unexpected and I would have like to have been informed about this before booking, but it was easy enough to order food on Uber Eats. So if was fine. "

"My husband & I had an absolutely wonderful time at Le Clos des Anges ! Gael & Sofie were so welcoming and went over & above, especially when we had a minor health issue to ensure we found appropriate medical care. They speak English quite well & we felt grateful as we were in their county speaking limited French. The amenities were pristine, and Gael delivered a delicious French breakfast daily which we enjoyed in the gorgeous courtyard. Gael provided a website when checking in of local restaurants and activities. The restaurants were amazing and we went to Terrasses de Pommiers twice - it was excellent!!! Our room was very very spacious, and the bathroom as well with double sinks & extensive counter space. Very comfy king bed ! We had dinner delivered the last night via Gael’s resturant connections and it was hot & tasty. The location in the heart of the vineyards was stunning, yet easily accessible to many nearby villages and restaurants. This is an extraordinary stay in Bagnols, and we plan to return again with family & friends as it is also perfect for groups ! "
