Nice location and setup very relaxing and plenty of deer . Very quiet but the a/c wasn’t up to the ninety plus temperatures that were around. Was only one day, but would have been nicer if it wasn’t last minute and we stayed longer. Outside of the a/c we had a nice time
We had an amazing weekend at the chalet. The house is adorable, cozy, and clean. The property was beautiful and you can feed the deer right out of your hand! We will definitely be back!
We had a fabulous time at the Lake Haven chalet! I went with my sisters and cousins for a nostalgic trip to Bushkill Falls. The chalet was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed time at the fire pit by the lake. The owner was very responsive. I would highly recommend this place!
We loved our stay at Lake Haven. If anything the photos don't do justice to how quiet and beautiful the place is. Foliage, peaceful lake - often roaming deer - just outside the windows. Lots of walking trails short drives away. And a great place to settle in for both work and rest. Well equipped kitchen. Light filled house.
This cabin was very cozy and cute! Absolutely loved the loft bedroom. We had some rain, the sound of the rain hitting to skylight was very peaceful. Had a wonderful weekend getaway without a worry in the world. Sitting by the lake was excellent and a beautiful view.
We had a wonderful time. The view was exhilarating. Communication was very good, and as such there were no surprises. All that we needed for our stay was there. Will recommend. Thank you.
Our view of the lake. with the fall foliage all around, was stunning. The huge window was amazing. There were deer right in the back yard each day. The house was very clean and comfortable. We visited Bushkill Falls during our stay and we loved it! We highly recommend staying here. Patrick was very responsive.
My family and I plus my dog took a long weekend away to enjoy the fall weather. This house is amazing in the morning to enjoy your coffee on the outside deck or lake side deck. The 2 downstairs beds are very soft to the point you sink in. That’s the only area of improvement. 10 minutes from Bushkill falls- great place to go and relax.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and the view from the property was perfect. It was clean and tidy. We were completely relaxed enjoying the view from the deck. The property was minutes from Bushkill Falls and other awesome hiking trails were a short drive away. Instructions for check-in and out were clear and Patrick the host was responsive to all our questions. Would definitely want to visit this property again!!
My husband, myself, and our dog stayed 3 nights and it was the perfect, cozy Autumn getaway. The views of the lake and woods would never get old. All of us had a great time hiking Bushkill Falls and exploring around the neighborhood. Patrick was responsive to any questions right away. We will definitley be back!
The property is really good for a family stay with a dog. Very cozy home and responsive homeowner(manager). We stayed for a week and it was great. The property had free life vests and a canoe, so we used it often. Only I’d suggest replacing beds on the 1st floor as they were pretty old and mattresses were too soft. Otherwise, no other complaints and suggestions.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay at Patrick's lakeside cabin! There was plenty of space for the five of us, and the three dogs we had travelling with us. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had a magnificent view of the lake. We were able to take the dogs down to the water, as well as explore the community. The enclosed porch at the entrance was perfect for feeding the dogs and cleaning off their paws before entering the house (we had some spotty rain showers). We were able to cook our meals in what appeared to be a recently remodeled kitchen, and enjoyed the duo-coffee maker each morning with breakfast. The deck offered great views of the lake, and we would have eaten our meals out there if the temperature was a bit warmer. We would highly recommend this Lakehaven cabin to anyone, especially those travelling with dogs.
Everything was fantastic. Very clean. Extra supplies in closet-cleaning, broom/mop, first aid, tools, trash bags, toilet paper... Oars and life jackets supplied for canoe. Thermostats in every room, everyone able to set temp at whatever they're comfortable with. Heaters in bathrooms for cold mornings. Only suggestion is to upgrade tv to smart tv and dvd players to blue-ray. Several redbox dvd rental kiosks nearby.
Property is excellent. We had a very nice 3 day stay prior to my wife's spinal surgery. The grounds are beautiful with excellent views if the lake, a peaceful dock on the lake where you can sit and relax and well as a spacious deck overlooking the lake. Deer walking all over the premises and neighborhood are magnificent. We had an issue with the TV in the Master Bedroom not working properly when we arrived. Notified owner who had me contact local cable company and the cable company could not resolve the issue; however, a maintenance man was sent the next day and he was able to install new cables from the wall to the TV and these resolved the issue. Other than that the cabin/chalet was very nice and enjoyable to stay in.
3 of us booked the property for 3 nights for a golf trip. The house was nice. A couple negatives was that there was garbage in the driveway when we arrived. I picked up everything I could and put it into the trash cans. No big deal, but I was afraid it would be blamed on me. The driveway is impassable so you have to park up near the street and lug everything down the loose gravel hill to the house. These were really the only negative things about the property. Everything else was fine and as described. Overall a good experience.
We totally enjoyed our 5 days at Lake Haven- Great get-away , comfortable, accommodations .
The house is very open and spacious. The kitchen and bathrooms were very new and clean. The beds are comfortable. The air conditioning is all new and are split type state of the art type. We spent several hours a day at the dock at the beautiful lake. I would play my acoustic guitar and Theresa would read her book. Several days I took the canoe out on the the lake. Reminded me of my Boy Scout days years ago. The kitchen has new appliances including a dish washer. There is a TV on the main floor and a smaller one in the loft bedroom . Each day we would take a walk on the roadways around the community. It is a very quiet, tranquil place. We went to Bushkill Falls and did the hike. There are restaurants nearby. A particular interesting place was the Tom X Pub off of rt 209 just 15 minutes from the house. The high ceiling in the main room gives a good open feeling to just being there... You see the trees and lake out the wall of windows. I recommend this property if your looking for a quiet, calm , get-away in the woods at the lake. Take a look at the photos on the vrbo.
Overall, as far as the property goes, it was as described...clean, nicely furnished and well stocked. The cabin offered premium cable, WIFI, fireplace, washer/dryer and A/C...outside, there was a deck with table and chairs, and a charcoal BBQ, while in the yard, there was a fire pan, and, by the lake, there was a small dock and a canoe (with paddles/PFDs). You have to check in with the Community Center to get parking passes and tags which you have to display whenever you use any of the amenities....large outdoor pool (plus a smaller indoor pool, which is only open in inclement weather), a large Hot Tub, various courts for sports, a small cafe in the clubhouse, and, about a 10 minute walk from the cabin, a small beach and swimming area, with a playground. Around the property, we saw plenty of deer. Groups of them would come out, especially in the morning and at dusk, and they would come up right below the deck, where you could feed them. You have to be careful driving in the area, though, as many of the roads are steep and curvy, and deer do congregate in, and on the sides of the roads. I should mention the driveway of the cabin...it is fairly steep, but it is functional. I drive a big F-250 truck, and had to use 4WD to keep from digging into the gravel, but it worked. In summation, we enjoyed our time at the cabin (Myself, my Wife, and 2 pets, a dog and cat). It was very comfortable, scenic, and we spent most of our time at the pool, or relaxing at the cabin.
Pocono Mountain Lake Estates community Assoc. 2362 Eagle Pass Bushkill Pa
The access to the property is at the end of a steep, loose ground shale stones, with dips and trees. difficult for older people to get close to the steps to enter the house. . The drive way the queen bed is located in the loft which is a steep stairway to access. The kitchen is clean, new and the furniture in the living room is clean and comfortable. The TV functions with a large number of cable programs. The deck that sits on the edge of the lake is not painted and needs repair. The chairs on the deck had algae. The canoe was very heavy and not positioned in a easy to use place. We could not use it. No Sheets and towels without added pay.
We were responsible not the host to drive to the clubhouse to pick up tags that permitted us to park in the community. The recreation room had a pool table and ping pong table and a poor air quality in the room . No mention that indoor pool is closed until the winter. We were very disappointed, The washing machine had towels in it and was never removed. The building overall needs external repairs and paint. The host was not as congenial as we expected, Sadly, I would not chose to come back to this location again.
