Wonderful mom’s getaway
We enjoyed relaxing in the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is well stocked and made cooking a big breakfast very easy. The hot tub was wonderful as well. An easy 35 min drive to Asheville. I highly recommend this house to others.

Great cabin and location
Our family really enjoyed our week long stay here! The cabin is great with plenty of room to spread out or congregate for games or food. The beds are all comfortable, the hot tub is awesome with a great view, and the pool table is a great addition too.

Perfect mountain retreat!
Gorgeous, private mountain retreat. Location was awesome at the top of the mountain. Awesome views from the balconies. House was very clean and well maintained. Really private place. Loved our stay here and would rent this property again in the future.

Fantastic Cabin - Simply Beautiful
Best cabin we ever stayed at - The decorator did an awesome job (How Beautiful) - Wi-Fi was perfect and always had cell service. View is gorgeous - hot tub was great - Decks(Porches) were fantastic - Ping-Pong was a lot of fun! Spacious Bedrooms and Bathrooms - Fantastic Kitchen (so well-equipped) - Great Living room (Very large TV) Did not have any trouble with the road to Cabin -at least 8 cars were going up and down the Mountain every day - as a matter of fact, we saw a UPS truck and Fed-Ex pass by the cabin and went further up the mountain! Just can not say enough - We had a Wonderful Vacation at this Cabin - Way over 5 Stars!

Awesome Retreat
Had a retreat out with the guys and had a blast! Plenty of entertainment at the property and not far (25min) from Asheville. Only thing I would improve in the listing is saying there is a grill…. We had to buy a grill anticipating there wasn’t one since it wasn’t seen in pictures or listed.

Beautiful spot
Portrayed accurately in the listing. The management company is wonderful to work with. My friends had a wonderful experience. Many beautiful hiking trails and waterfalls in the area to explore. Close to Asheville. This house is nestled in the mountainside with nice views and nature all around.

Great house nestled in mountains
We enjoyed this house. It was very roomy and had a nice view of the mountain. The only negative is that is it 35 miles from Asheville where we went every day.

Only issue was the road.
Stayed for a long weekend. No issues or problems with the property. Very pretty and lovey house had a great time. Very responsive hosts can't complain. Just FYI privet road leading to driveway is dirt/gravel. Scraped skid plate a few times coming and going. Driveway is in the middle of an incline, had to back down the hill and floor it up the hill into driveway, so not to get wheels caught in ruts in the road. It did rain the morning we came in but if you don't have 4 wheel drive you might have issue even complete dry. All 3 of our cars had issues.

Family Vacation
Stayed for a family vacation with 2 teenagers. Beautiful views, and centrally located for our travels. House was very well appointed. Would be perfect for a bigger group. Slept our 4 with much room to spare. Managing staff very easy to communicate with. We were able to check in early with no issue. One very minor issue was immediately responded to by management. Would recommend!

Family Get-Away
Extremely easy booking, accurate description of home, stocked & well kept. The place was wonderful! Having a 3 yr old there worked out well but in hinds eye we definitely could use a baby gate for the stairs. My tushie got a much needed workout following behind him for his safety 😅 all worked out great and it's a lovely place with a great view!

Home on a mountain
If you are looking for a beautiful home up a mountain with a great view, this is the place. 3 floors all with balconies. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and how well stocked the home is. This is our 5 th rental home and none can compare. The kitchen has about everything you need and some extras, to cook at home. We did not use the hot tub so i cannot speak to that but we enjoyed cooking on the grill and sitting on the balcony. The drive up is steep so you know. The driveway at the house is paved and wide.

My family and I enjoyed our visit to Burnsville. The house accommodated our group well. The amenities and house layout were perfect. The property management team was extremely helpful to resolve an issue which was my fault.

An hour before the check-in time I received a call to inform me that they were doing a repair in the house, when I arrived everything seemed fine at first glance, we chose the house taking into account the bathrooms we needed and the entertainment areas, the bathroom shower The main bathroom was not working, we reported the damage and they were late with the arrival according to the time they told us the plumber would come, he could not solve the problem leaving the bathtub out of service, he said he would go the next day and never arrived, he arrived one day then outside the time that he had previously said after calling again to find out why they had not gone since nobody told us that he would not go the day before. then he informed that there were inflatable mattresses in the house and we received an email from the property manager which we answered and explained that there were young people who preferred to sleep without adults because they stayed up late talking, they asked if there were more guests than allowed which we invited to the The administrator came to the house so that they could see for themselves that we were the number of people established plus a duly registered dog, but the maintenance person kept insisting and even called by phone to ask the same thing that we had already answered via email. They were also invited to go to the house at any time so they could see how many people were in the house, the treatment they gave us was quite annoying. Pool table is useless as the sticks were broken. I would not rent this house again to spend vacations with my family. there are better options before you take that one again. quite disappointed with our stay in this house.

Hi Leopoldo, Good evening! Thank you for taking the time to review this lovely property. I want to first say I'm very sorry for the issue you encountered while staying at the cabin. Unfortunately, during the time that you came we were experiencing extremely cold temperatures which more than half of the southeast was experiencing. There were multiple rentals and residential homes in the area with busted water pipes and water issues in kitchens and bathrooms. We done our very best to get someone out to the cabin in the most timely matter possible and I apologize that we couldn't get someone out there sooner. However, when our maintenance can't resolve something we have to contact someone thats specifically licensed in that area to assess the situation. Unfortunately at the time while you were at the cabin we had to wait as there were so many calls into the various local plumbers we use. In regards to your statement about the air mattresses in the cabin. The maintenance man and the owner of the company's husband which is also a property manager was at the property and seen the air mattresses thats the only reason you were asked about the air mattresses being in the cabin. Not only do we have the best interest of the guest we also work for the homeowners and on their behalf as well and we have to make sure that the property is being treated as they have asked. We simply were asking to make sure there wasn't over occupancy at the cabin. We were not trying to overstep or invade anyones privacy. However if anything is brought to our attention at a property it is our job to work on the homeowners behalf as well and to make sure that their property is being treated as they wish. Also, the poolsticks have since been replaced since your stay and are brand new. Once again, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced while at the cabin. We do greatly apologize and I'm sincerely sorry that we made you feel uncomfortable by asking about the air mattresses. Please understand that we were just doing our job. Best, Danielle Miller

Christmas stay
This is a fantastic home. We spent Christmas there with family and furbabies. The kitchen is well stocked and the living area was big enough to accommodate all of us and the pups. The hot tub was awesome - even in the extreme cold that we experienced! Property managers were also fantastic - our pipes froze early Christmas Eve morning and they had the plumber out and water running again by noon. We would definitely stay again!

Engelhoff cabin
Our family planned a "meet in the middle" location to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas. This property was beautiful and spotless. Everything you need is here. We loved all the covered porches and kept the fireplace going. We loved the cabin so much that we never even left the premises. We look forward to returning!

Quaint Small Town Stay
We’ve stayed at this property for about three years now. We always enjoy our stay. I’d recommend better towels for the hot tub. Also, the outdoor wood on the property needs some attention, the stairs for example are starting to show some age. That said, the place and the company is amazing to work with during the stay. All this said we would return to this cabin.

Cozy Cabin Stay
Overall stay was great! The cabin is exactly how it is pictured! Cozy and inviting. I checked the reviews prior to arrival and brought toilet paper and batteries but did not need them. The comments about the road being steep and to proceed with caution are accurate. The hot tub had some dirt/sand in it from the previous guests but we still utilized it. My three suggestions are to (1) include the wifi network name on the house information and (2) inform guests that the wifi is powered by a white Google device upstairs and to encourage guests to not unplug it. We struggled with getting the wifi going but were assisted promptly upon arrival in getting it fixed. (3) correct the address for trash dump, the address provided for trash dump was not accurate and lead us to a river. We had to ask a local where to go and it was no where close to the address listed, took about 30 minutes of driving around to get this done.

Beautiful and quiet location
We enjoyed our stay. Accommodations were beautiful. Didn’t have to take our own linens…even had the convenience of being able to do laundry before trip home. We had an issue with one bathroom and response was wonderful…worked around our schedule and came to resolve. Everyone we dealt with responsive and friendly. Be prepared for quite a few steps (especially if you have any elderly members with you). One other note to add…we had read reviews about steep driveway..what we found was the road leading to driveway was steep. If driving a car that sits low to ground (or heavily loaded) this may be an issue. Part way up the mountain to the driveway road changes from paved to gravel/dirt road. This is where problem may occur when turning into driveway. If you turn into driveway at top end of the asphalt this may make it easier for lower vehicles.

Great Cabin in the Mountains
Very clean and nicely decorated. Location provides decent views from the porch and windows of the mountains. Everything you need to enjoy a stay was provided and the home was extremely clean. The semi-private road up can be a little hazardous but the driveway is large and pretty level once you get it.

Weekend getaway
I can't express enough how absolutely beautiful this house and the view was. My girlfriends and I wanted a cozy cabin in the woods for a low key bachelorette party and it did not disappoint. Between the hot tub, pool table, and ping pong table we had plenty to do simply sitting at the house. My only complaint was the restrictions on the garbage. You are allowed 2 bags and after that they charge you which I have NEVER encountered before. They also don't give you an address for any local places where we can get rid of extra garbage so being from out of state, it was a pain to have to figure that out. I felt like for the price of the house, it is was a little unfair for us to limit our garbage. But besides that our stay was wonderful and we enjoyed this house so much!

Family Mountain Trip 2022
The Smith family had a such a wonderful time at this house!! It was clean, plenty of room, and an outdoor haven for our two dogs! The sweet downtown of Burnsville had such cute shops, and yummy places to eat. We also weren’t too far from Asheville. We definitely would rent again!!

Family vacation
This property had everything needed. The three boys ages 9,14,17 had fun shooting pool, playing pingpong and family game night with board games. This is close to blue ridge attractions. Great property in the mountains.

Spring Getaway
We had a lovely time. We especially liked being able to spread out - each couple had their own floor. Hot tub was great. The driveway is steep and getting there after dark was exciting!

Ran into some hiccups, but the property manager was on point.
At the beginning of our stay we noticed the unit needed to be cleaned just a bit more. In a corner there were plenty of bugs looking like it was just swept into a corner and left. Other than that, it was relatively clean. We also had an issue with the door knobs - they started falling apart. They looked as if someone tried to fix them with duct tape previously. We alerted the property manager and they made offered to do whatever was needed. We also found a camera that would watch over the porch. We unplugged this when I double checked the listing and did not see any notice about a camera. Covering the drive way is one thing, but having the camera monitor the large porch made me uncomfortable. Other than those few items, we really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent vacation... but
Really enjoyed our stay. Living area was a bit smaller than expected and the fridge could have been bigger. Took a day and a half to respond to 3 minor issues. Other than that, everything was great.

Great family weekend
Overall, this house was great. I would stay there again. The layout and outdoor spaces are nice. Hot tube was a hit! There are some maintenance issues and some exterior cleaning that needs to be addressed. The town of Burnsville was quaint and we really enjoyed our stay. We hiked and went to Mt Mitchell and enjoyed it very much. Hope to return!

Wonderful weekend getaway
This house ranks in the top 3 of all houses we have rented through VRBO. We enjoyed rounds of pool, ping pong tournaments, and relaxing each night in the amazing hot tub. The home was very doggie friendly with gated porches and a large fenced area for potty breaks. Asheville is a short 20ish min drive away. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful Easter getaway with the family.
