"We definitely recommend this property. Beautiful grounds! So many tropical plants everywhere. You are literally in the jungle. Taking a nap on the porch hammock was so relaxing. The house iself is clean and cozy. It is perfect for a family of 4. Location is great. Close to restaurants and shops (10 mins from San Ignacio). Not a far drive from Mayan Ruins. Only 2 hours from Caracol. And also Kate was very responsive if you need anything."

"Our family of four recently stayed at Cohune Palms. Although the setting is beautiful next to the river and the grounds are pretty, the cabana leaves much to be desired. The cabana needs a deep cleaning, it was dusty and the bathroom was tired and dirty. The sheets were stained and a gecko had pooped on the clean bedding before checkin. There was a cockroach in our bathroom one evening, although the rustic style of the cabana means insects and geckos are a possibility. The food on site was...

"I originally had some hesitation after reading older reviews, but I’m so glad we went ahead with this stay. The host has clearly listened to feedback and made amazing upgrades. Now all the bedrooms have air conditioning, which made a huge difference—everyone slept comfortably even in the summer heat. They also added a water heater, so we enjoyed nice hot showers whenever we wanted, and we had absolutely no issues with the toilets during our stay.Overall, this home far exceeded our expectations....
