Whispering Woods Cabins & Grill

"This was our second time staying with Whispering Woods. The hot water was not working when we arrived and as we had a delayed flight into Little Rock, we did not arrive at our cabin until 1130 pm. There was no way to reach the staff until the next morning after ten AM. My wife was not happy with no hot water to shower with. I got a staff member who asked me if I had tried the trouble shooting list. There was no trouble shooting list in our cabin. She asked me if I could fix the problem, and as we were on the road visiting family, I could not do this. She asked me if I would like her to fix the problem; I said yes and the problem was fixed when we returned to the cabin that evening. My wife complained that the pots in the cabinet were not clean. We had a very nice view of Lake Norfolk from our back patio. The air conditioning worked well."

"The Jefferson Cabin on the White River is a beautiful cabin with gorgeous views of the river. It is very quiet and surrounded by nature. The house is very nice and is furnished with everything you need for a home away from home. The beds are all comfortable, too, which is rare for a vacation home. We had a great time fishing and playing in the river from morning til sundown. The porch has a nice swing and plenty of seating for everyone. Having the grill was the cherry on top!"

"We had a great time and everything provided was excellent. Would definitely come back. The place, yard, deck, and dock are fantastic. Everything was very clean and worked great. Very secluded and quiet with lots of eagles, deer, and other wildlife. Fishing is really good off the dock or boating in the area. There is enough room for two typical White River boats or flatbottoms. Be aware that there is no internet and very poor cellular and no data signal in the area. You can get some texts to work and make some poorly connected calls, but there is no internet data for this area. You have to drive out about a mile or so to get a good data signal. Also, a word of caution for guests, the White River is very cold and can be extremely swift. Use extreme caution around the dock and on the river. There is no rail on the riverside of the dock. Getting in and out of the boat is no problem, but a kayak would be difficult. There is a nice gravel bar that can be accessed just downstream or on the opposite bank by boat for fishing, wading, sitting, and for dogs, but again be extremely careful of the current and rapid water level rises. Letty's Mexican restaurant in Gassville is relatively close and really good. There is a AGFC boat ramp very close downriver and plenty of shopping and restaurant options within driving distance in Cotter, Flippin, and Gassville, if needed."

"This home and location is beautiful. It had plenty of room for our group of 14 (6 adults/8 children). Perfect spot to just sit and enjoy the river and do some trout fishing. Sandy was very helpful with check in and showing us around."

"Very private, quiet, beautiful cabin to get away from all the noise of the world. Enjoyed nature and beautiful scenery. The cabin was very clean, had all the amenities a couple needed. Very quiet stay. We loved it!!! We will plan another trip here soon. The host was very nice and knowledgeableof the area . Kayak rental place nearby and we enjoyed our time on the Buffalo River."

"My wife & child absolutely loved this place. It’s very secluded and had very clear stream down the street from our location. I enjoyed the fire pit which had plenty of wood for burning available. The jacuzzi outside was perfection. It was very quiet & peaceful. Our host was attentive and helpful."
