Best stay in Colombia!

Most awesome place ever! Beautiful home, safe, attractive neighborhood. Owner GUS made us feel like family. Wonderful fresh blended lemonade upon our arrival. Gus provided terrific suggestions re; eating out, and activiities to add to our tour. Without his suggestion, we would have missed the gondola ride in the Andes which was incredible. Beautiful and relaxing pool and hot tub after a long day of traveling/tours. Great view of the city from our room. We would like to return to Bucaramanga and Serenity Suites.

Wake up in a birds paradise a top of the city

Getting to Serenity Suits you think you are leaving the city. The road climbs up a steep hill surrounded by forest. Soon you are at the top of a hill in a quiet modern neighbourhood where you have the most astounding view of the city. Serenity Suits is located in a secluded street (our taxi driver had to ask for directions), a dead end street next to a forest park full of a variety of birds and a trail that takes you down to town on a beautiful walk. Although you are almost out of the city, you are 10 minutes from great shopping (Shop for locally hand made leather products) and 20 from downtown (visit the market in carrera 15) in taxi rides that cost less than 5 bucks.  Hosts Sandra and Gustavo run this boutique hotel like their own home and treat you like family without being intrusive. We stayed with them for three nights as part of a recent backpacking trip to Colombia. Our room had a balcony with a full view of the city. We had the same wonderful view from the shower! The room was modern, with air conditioning TV and ample space. We were woken up in the morning to soothing wild bird songs. We were treated  to a magnificent breakfast that Sandra cooked for us every morning with her own take on traditional Santanderean food. We did bird watching while having breakfast at the balcony: What a Treat! Gustavo and Sandra looked after us offering suggestions and directions to places to visit, eat and hung out. Thney have a trusted taxi driver that they called when needed. Gustavo

El lugar es hermoso, puedes ver la ciudad desde el balcón del restaurante. La comida es deliciosa, es limpio, está bien ubicado. Lo mejor es el servicio. Sandra, su esposo Gustavo y su hija son personas muy amables, todo el tiempo están pendientes de ti. Sin duda alguna, regresaría a Serenity Suites.

Our stay at Serenity was lovely

Beautiful setting with view and very attentive hosts. The room was artistically and carefully designed with luxurious amenities. Healthy fresh breakfast on patio overlooking the spa and swimming pool. I highly recommend to other travelers to stay at this fine hotel .
