Very average hotel for the price honestly. The entire thing needs some renovation and the mattress felt like a baloon, really not comfortable. Breakfast was ok and the staff was very nice and helpful.

A very nice experience. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was placed at a very comfortable spot (visible from bed, but not too close to disrupt sleep), and the bath tub was really nice! The location was great, very easy to get to/from the airport and train station. Also, a very nice location to have a nice long walk around all the city main views

The room was uncomfortable, chilly and hot water is not available after morning. No room service for iron and slippers, we had to go down and get it. We didnt ask for housekeeping everyday due to security reasons (there is no safe) and asked for clean towels only- which never came.

Excellent!

The room is amazing - freshly renovated, comfortable and clean. In the bathroom, the box was too small and dark if you close the curtains. The reception needs a renovation to be aligned with the rooms.

Hotel des Colonies is close to everything. Brussels Central Station and Brussels North is only few minutes walk. Close to a shopping street. The hotel is quite old but the bed is very comfortable which is more important for me. The price is very affordable. Lift isn’t working during our stay so we have to use stairs. The staff at the reception were very accommodating and helpful. The check in and check out is very quick and straightforward without complications.

Good hotel. Nothing wrong with it. Only note is and I know it is nitpicking, the description of the room stated it had a view of the city. All I have seen is an office building with a Basicfit. PS kinda fancy the ''Shining'' vibes in the corridor.

Loved the unique features of the property and the historical significance. Our room was clean, comfortable and the hotel is safe. The staff were helpful and multilingual. Slight negative was that there wasn't a mini fridge in our room. The subway system in Brussels is unsafe which is not the hotel's fault. Guests should be very careful with their valuables and be weary of the people that push behind you to get through the barriers for free.

The location was perfect and well connected. the hotel was clean. the staffs were friendly. The big problem was internet. the connection was lost after every a few minutes and was very slow. this caused me a lot of troubles as I had to work in my room.

After check-out I realized that I left valuables in the room. I notified reception before returning to the hotel, using the phone number available int he Expedia App. When I arrived at the hotel, my problem was resolved in a very professional, responsible, efficient, and courteous way. I want 1 double bed room but it turned out as a triple room in which 3 single beds squeezed together in a comparatively small room. Shower was horrible with very very low water pressure. Shape sounds over the night (probably the drainage problem) that made me could not sleep well. Overall, bad experience and I will choose other hotel rather than this one if I come to Bruxelles later.

The hotel was exactly what I needed for my stay. It was very local to the metro and Nord station. Had shops in walking distance. I was travelling solo so appreciated how safe the hotel felt, with needing a room key to enter the hotel and the floor for your room. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was spacious and well equipped.

Friendly and very interesting hotel

This is an old hotel full of character. Our room was small but comfortable. I liked the ambience and the staff at reception were very friendly. Breakfast was very good.
