Maine Hidden Gem

Gorgeous post and beam, well hidden at the top of Maine’s midcoast.
Tucked in on a dirt road. Yet conveniently located close to many of Maine’s well loved attractions. Enjoy a clam/lobstahh bake, end the night with a great fire, toasting s’mores, and seeing the stars. Really seeing them! Listen to and see wildlife. Celebrate your children’s graduation from one of the many universities around. Celebrate having a nice little holiday with your loved ones. Even consider a small anniversary or wedding here.

Pick lavender at one of the few farms around. Eat local, go fishing, paddle boarding, enjoy a book and or making a sand castle at one of the local beaches. The activities are endless! Or just enjoy sitting under the pergola and working on a puzzle, dining outdoors, with those you love.

Family Wedding in Maine

The home made for perfect stay for our family. The options for housing in this part of Maine are limited and this home was a very pleasant surprise. It made for perfect location for a family wedding in the area. We also discovered several hiking trails in the area and enjoyed the fall colors. Leanne (the owner) was very responsive and helpful.

Great Location!

This was a great location, close to a lot of things but you also felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. The house was beautiful and there was plenty of room for the 8 of us. The only thing you need to be aware of is there is no air conditioning. The loft does have A/C but the main house does not. While it may cool down at night, we had some very hot days and were not able to be in the main house on those days.

I am not sure if the fault lies with the owner or with VRBO/Expedia but the property was double-booked, forcing us to find other last minute accommodations. Despite several messages to the owner, I still have heard nothing back after 5 days.
